Summer Melody continues our Intertwines EP series, a monthly showcase of new and upcoming artists in a pair of two, and starting their own fusion towards the label. The second installment includes two different progressive tracks from two artists hailing from Ukraine and France respectively.

It's been a while for us to introduce the melodic progressive community with a brand new name, after ending our Summer Melodies compilation series. We are glad to have Codema to the label with the wonderful track Sundown. An ode to the classic balearic and melodic progressive sounds, the track captures the sunset moment by the coast, with 80s-inspired pad and synths, delicate guitar melodies and trance-blended pluck chords laying across the whole track.

The other side of this release is another label debut, and similar to the artists in the previous installment, jumping between the genres of trance and progressive. Previously been releasing on Sunstate, D.Max, Tecnomind, Redux, Azure, Progressive Vibes, just to name a few, we welcome Nakhiya with the trance-inspired Samoa. Describing the village above water scenery through his layered bassline and flowing melodies, this track provides dreamy vibes yet tribal at the same time.

Summer Melody delivers with a brand new installment of our Intertwines EP series, showcasing new and upcoming artists in a pair of two, and starting their own fusion towards the label. On the other side, we welcome back an artist who has been in a long hiatus, Javii Wind. After last year's Lost In Love, we welcome back Canada-based Nipika to Summer Melody, with a revisit of his own track Barefoot.

Originally self-released in 2020, Nipika now revisits with two different "anniversary" approaches. Anniversary mix provides his own signature progressive style, and relifting the original with a more upbeat and joyful touch, as well as adding a trance-hinted scent, more atmospheric elements and arps. Providing a more chill and breakbeat twist, the Anniversary ambient mix delivers the same atmospheric elements with a lighter and relaxing style. Sound Quelle has risen to the highest ranks of our label roster this year, courtesy of an array of magnificent electronic music releases, ranging in genre from deep house to trance. Featured initially on our "Arrival 02: Destination Indonesia" compilation, "Toscana" is an electrifying anthem by Sound Quelle, in collaboration with Max Meyer. We're thrilled to finally present this track in its full (DJ-friendly) form, alongside two brand new remixes by the wonderful Miroslav Vrlik and Aleksey Sladkov.

The Original Mix kicks off with an aggressive rhythm and rapturous chord sequence. As the energy crescendoes, the layered chords are joined by lush side melodies and ethereal pads. The emotion truly reaches its zenith in the breakdown and subsequent drop, where celestial vocal stabs punctuate an earth-shattering groove.

Miroslav Vrlik, who recently contributed to our "Silk Royal Showcase 05" compilation with the breathtaking "Rhythm Of The Guitar", offers an equally euphoric and exhilarating interpretation. His mix centers on an 1/8 note chord sequence, as well as a variety of atmospheric flourishes, which infuse the mix with a cinematic feel. In the break, an unforgettable new melody is introduced, which continues throughout the drop.

Finally, first-time Silk contributor Aleksey Sladkov makes a tremendous opening statement with his inspired interpretation. Gorgeous midrange "texture" is created through numerous lead layers, coupled with symphonic strings. With thrilling anticipation, we are finally treated to an extraordinarily beautiful climactic theme, which radiates pure joy directly into the listener's soul. Given his obvious talent for peak-hour anthems with intelligence and heart, Sladkov is definitely an artist to watch going forward.

Toscana

Today we have a truly classic track with us as our PHW / PHW Elements Christmas Gift, as we see the track that really kicked things of from this absolutely amazing talent from the UK, the one and only Toby Hedges and his timeless production ”Mirai”. It feels like just around the corner, and still it is almost 3 years since this track arrived to the world. About the original there isn't a thungs that haven't been said over the years, and we leave it like that. We are certain all prog lovers remember this PHW signing. 

Though we see it coming back, and what is better than bringing another tremendous producer back on it, and whipp on a total remake of it. Our good buddy and co worker on PHW, Eleve is giving this worldwide recognized track his tweak and twist, and the out come is fair to say absolutely superb with a juicy groove, cool vocal elements added on together with the laid back and yet pumping feel. We absolutely love it, and hope to see a lot of attention for it, as it is what it deserves, super work Jarl as always!

Another awe inspiring EP from Perplexity music, this time with Martin Peter stepping up to the plate and taking listeners on a hope inspiring journey through sound. Minus features a textured chord progression and lush pads bringing out the warmth in not only the track, but in the people who hear it. Alex H only adds more to this with both his original and sunset mixes adding depth and dimension making Minus the perfect track for the ending of this winter season. 
   
Kicking things into a higher gear with Plus, Martin uses a combination of energetic beats and romantic melodies to make listeners really feel the pull of the warm weather that is seemingly so near. Almost teasing you with adventures to come. D05 keeps with that same electrifying enthusiasm really making this a dance floor mover. However, things take a calming turn with Keith Harris's soft and smooth remix. Taking that initial romantic feel, and truly bringing out the best in it.   

Both these tracks, and the remixes contain so much love and passion, it's palpable. It's something that truly needs to be heard and certainly appreciated.

Polish producers Skyhunter and Rafal Sentiel present their collaborative EP release, Memories Of Last Summer, as the closing release of 2020 on the label. Both have been contributing originals or remixes for the label previously, now they have joined together with 3 tracks and 2 remixes from each of them.

Starting with Rafal's Late Night, the wide sounds surround with the simple beat and elegant tones and vocal chops, and the remix from Skyhunter prolongs its sense of elegance and melodic goodness with a piano melody binding all into unison. The release goes down further with their collaborative track Beach Story, combining the melodic sparkles from Rafal and progressive structure from Skyhunter, which it has the best of both worlds. It follows by Rafal's take on Skyhunter's Moment I Won't Forget, with the experimental electronic sounds and more simplistic breaks-like beat, emphasizing on the melodic flow and atmospheric tones. The releases end with the original of Moment I Won't Forget, alongside with more melancholic sunrise vibes and light rays, as the Memories Of Last Summer flows by and the light shines in softly.
