We present you Jickow: a lover of melodies, sound and rhythm, but above all a lover of the emotions that music provides. It all begins in the south of France, between Montpellier and Marseille, where Jickow is moving the electro scene. As a DJ, art director, manager of a booking agency and talent scout he's in the core of the nightlife. After making a name for himself in the south of France, Jickow exported his path, went abroad and mixed in some of the best clubs in Europe. But it is finally in Belgium that Jickow fully blossomed as a staple of Brussels nightlife.

Jickow presents us 2 originals. The title track "Dry Haze" is a a super catchy melodic masterpiece. The second track "Mono No Aware" is much deeper, floating on an intriguing vocal. The title track "Dry Haze" is remixed by France based producer Atribút who released already on labels such as Selador, Beatfreak, OKO, Univack, Siona, Area Verde,... Atribút gives a progressive house touch to the original. And last but not least the second track is remixed by FiveP, an Italian artist who won the "20 Years of Poker Flat" Remix Contest in 2020 with a remix of Hannes Bieger. Since then his music is signed on labels such as 3000 Grad, BeatFreak, Freegrant, Awen, Dear Deer, Natura Viva,... FiveP adds some extra power to "Mono No Aware".

Transcending trends, algorithms, diminishing attention spans, a global pandemic and everything else the world has thrown at us all, since 2016 ICONYC has grown from its humble roots to establish itself as one of the most trusted and exciting platforms in house and techno.

With its near-permanent residence in the upper regions of the Beatport charts and a dizzying menu of spin-off operations from high-profile Red Bull TV series ICONYC TV to the ICONYC Production Academy, ICONYC has consistently stayed true to its vision: to champion the most exciting, authentic and innovative house and techno out there, to encourage the next generation, to celebrate the universal language of the dancefloor, and to craft special releases like this powerful double-disc mix from leading German tastemaker duo Stil & Bense and progressive house veteran label founder John Johnson.

Spanning 40+ tracks over the label's five years and featuring a who's who in progressive house and melodic techno, the mixes reflect the many sonic shades and moods of ICONYC. Stil & Bense dig deep into the label's floor-focused melody-heavy techno vaults while John Johnson taps into the label's more progressive spirit, a sound he was a major part of almost 30 years ago, for a captivating atmospheric journey. Both trips are equally as timeless, emotive and enduring as they poignantly plot the coordinates between where ICONYC has been, where ICONYC is at and where ICONYC is heading.
