Belgian based Helsmoortel drops the 2nd Avoidant Sample Pack . Delve into this high quality sample pack that contains many of the sounds used by Helmsoortel on his AVD releases. The pack consists of 10 kick one shots and loops, 10 bass hits and loops, 10 synth stabs and loops, 10 vocal samples, 20 percussive hits and loops and 20 fx hits + loops. All sound designed in the analog and digital domain by Helsmoortel and recorded in 32 bits and 48kHz sample rate to ensure the best sound quality.

In these twelve cuts that make up his new album, the producer based in the mountains of Madrid puts into operation all his knowledge of electronic machinery to develop a discourse that bears his own signature and places him among the greatest exponents of peninsular techno at the moment.
 
Unlike previous works, this time we can perceive greater harmonic and emotional content in his productions, as can be heard in the first of the album´s songs, which also gives the title to the double vinyl. Here the floating synthetic strings are combined with rhythms borrowed from the motor city in an exquisite way.

Rheak, of Spanish origin, was born in Madrid in April 1988. 

He began his journey in the world of electronic music at just 13 years old, spinning vinyl records, something he has continued to do ever since.

 A self-taught DJ, influenced by Spanish and European artists, he is considered a versatile artist for his work in various musical styles, although he is best known for his techno productions. He started with trance music, always drawn to European sounds, while also discovering techno, a style that ultimately shaped him as a DJ and producer.

Gina Demarchi is a 28-year-old DJ artist and producer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has developed a unique style influenced by tribal sounds, excelling in Techno, Techno 2000, Tribal Groove , Dub Techno, and rhythmic, sensual beats.  She is also a resident at Fungi (Argentina)

Gina has performed at Tresor, and played in clubs like Anomalie, Loophole (Paris), Seaworld (Copenhagen) at Den Anden Side with Antigone, Mutate (Italy) with Freddy K and Rebecca Dellepiane, Mutate with Spdfj  and other cool venues like About Blank, Aeden, Hor, Derbybreweryarms, Rottesonne among others.

She has toured  Australia and played in different clubs like Novel, Bloom, XE45 and more.
In her sets, Gina merges various styles, maintaining a consistent line between groove, hardgroove, tribal, hip-hop, and dub techno. Soma proudly present the first in an exciting series of releases to celebrate 25 years at the top of electronic music as we turn to some of our favourite modern artists to reinvent some of the best from the back catalogue and up first is Envoy’s timeless classic, Dark Manoeuvres. Originally released as part of the “Coalition EP’ in 1996 (which also featured the classic Seawall), Hope Grant’s instantly recognisable hit is still found in nearly every Techno DJs record box and has continually served as a beacon of Soma since it’s release Four new versions are served up here as Dax J, Norman Nodge, Obscure Shape & SHDW plus Tensal all deliver fine interpretations of this Soma classic.

Dax’s furious style is the opener as he uses the original chords as they were intended but all the time firing his concussive drum patterns directly to the dance floor. Ostgut Ton’s Norman Nodge turns in a delectable dub version in only the way he can by keeping Envoy’s original muted and delivering a subtle, introverted version. The duo of Obscure Shape & SHDW are next up and delivery one epic take on Dark Manoeuvres. The pair build the tension early, teasing the strings then unleashing an onslaught, adding their own beautifully led, string section before hammering home. PoleGroup’s Tensal closes out our first Soma 25 releases, twisting and cutting the hook to suits his means as thunderous beats work away behind this solid tool.
