Slam continue to up their momentum with the first EP since their massive new album Dark Channel. Once again, the sole focus being straight up techno, designed for the dance floor, as they drop the 3 track ‘Wave Tension EP’. Never content to remain stationary, the latest EP has the duo in fine form as they drive to evolve the contemporary techno sound. 

Title track 'Wave Tension' is a relentless, driven opener as slightly distorting synths mutate throughout the track pursued by Slam’s ever distinctive rhythms. 'Lost Pattern' continues in hard hitting fashion with alarm-like synths pushing the intensity before 'Violence' closes out the EP with warping and viscous dynamics that create propulsive atmospherics.

The fourth edition of SHDW’s flagship ‘Federation Of Rytm’ VA series has been carefully curated by the DJ/ producer and head honcho over more than a year, with close attention to detail given to sequencing. It is a balance of label regulars and debutants that represents the past, present, and future, both sonically and through the generational diversity of the artists involved. There are plenty of surprises along the way while always remaining true to the Mutual Rytm ethos and reflecting the journey of the night from start to finish, whether that's in intimate, sweaty clubs or on big festival stages.

Haunting yet energetic and propulsive Techno is the order of the day throughout the EP as title track Fluido Energetico starts with a flurry of momentum. Who One Is initially takes things down into deeper territory yet still possesses a unique aggressive tone. Why One Is displays a depth of control in the young producer as dark and cerebral synths build perfectly through the track, delivering real power. Giordano’s debut EP is closed out with Headless which doesn’t let up in momentum as yet more twisted synths create the backbone of this intense production.
