This release speaks the pure language of techno: stripped back but without losing power and fully charged with relentless tension and unstoppable kinetic momentum. The sound design is notably restrained and pulls you into a hypnotic state with purposeful repetition while each component is occupying a clearly defined role in the mix.
 
As a whole, ‘Redemption Act’ presents a technically focused approach to contemporary techno with a clear artistic identity. Eluna Vex is giving us a clear message that he is an artist that doesn’t chase trends, he carves out his own terrain and holds it.

These remixes pick up on key elements hypnotic synth lines, distinctive stab sounds, 909 driven percussion and rework them into varied directions. The focus lies on functional, club oriented productions that still leave space for atmosphere and depth. The release spans from stripped back, groove driven tracks to more forceful, hypnotic versions, creating a tension between control and emotion. The final track brings the journey to a close with a melodic, emotionally rich piece that softens the intensity and adds a reflective, almost cinematic quality rounding off the release with subtlety and warmth.

Slam continue to up their momentum with the first EP since their massive new album Dark Channel. Never content to remain stationary, the latest EP has the duo in fine form as they drive to evolve the contemporary techno sound.

Title track 'Wave Tension' is a relentless, driven opener as slightly distorting synths mutate throughout the track pursued by Slam’s ever distinctive rhythms. 'Lost Pattern' continues in hard hitting fashion with alarm-like synths pushing the intensity before 'Violence' closes out the EP with warping and viscous dynamics that create propulsive atmospherics.
