BRR19 Erly Tepshi - Dune EP

Black Roses Nineteenth EP comes from Erly Tepshi, one of the label founders. In this EP you'll dive into the unknown, fasten your seatbelts for a journey into the space where the light of the stars will bring some brightness in the darkest universe and get lost in a fantasy world. The first track is "Hidden feat. Eleonora", deep grooves with a solid kick and spatial elements surround the unique vocals of Eleonora. The second track is "Seven Deadly Sins", inspired by the homonym anime. In this track the leads will give a sense of redemption. The third track is "Dune" characterised by a strong and dark bassline the plucks will make you feel lost in a desolate desert. The last track is "Pride" in collaboration with Abstraal, in this track the groove from the French duo fits perfectly with the sweet and melancholic harmonies and pads inserted by Tepshi.

First up on remix duties we welcome back label favourites Senses of Mind. The Belgium duo fresh from appearing on BBC R1 'Wind Down' show on Somatic have crafted a remix that has something unique and distinctive to make this release extra special, while applying an extra dose of groove and warmth to this incredible tune.
The guys have also included a very special 'breaks edit' of their own remix which is not to be missed.

Also on remix duties we welcome our sound engineer Gonzalo ' Soul Brucke' who steps out from the shadows of his warm masters that have fulled dance-floors around the World. His edit brings more groove with melodic techno influences, turning his rework into an underground anthem with a very soul tangling appeal. The added deep bass gradually eases its way to the breakdown, before unleashing into the rising melodic hook interwoven with the contagious groove for maximum effect.

Far Distance - Ibai (Senses Of Mind Remix)

While Stephan Bodzin's Beatport No.1 album 'Boavista' still reverberates around the world, the techno mainstay has now collected 25 of the scene's most interesting artists to add their own remixes. The likes of Solomun, Dubfire, Mind Against, Roman Flugel, Agents of Time, Anna, Wehbba, Hernan Cataneo & Soundexile and many more all make this a richly diverse affair.

This is a collection packed with gems from the off: Diynamic label boss Solomun opens up with his lively melodic take on Rose featuring cosmic synths and neon pads, his label mates Adriatique then go deep with their take on River and Italian duo Mind Against layer up the astral synths to epic effect with their Earth remix.

Jupiter Jazz aka Maceo Plex & AVNU then link for a remix of Theory Of Everything that is filled with swirling synth colours and German maestro Roman Flugel flips Earth into a cinematic track with pensive pads and digitalised leads. There is also classy progressive house from Patrice Baumel, widescreen techno from ANNA and hard, acid tinged techno from Reinier Zonneveld as well as suppler rolling rhythms from Dubfire with many other standout remixes in between.

Boavista Remixes is an essential album packed with plenty of fresh perspectives from across the house and techno spectrum.

The latest release from Tash's Movement Recordings finds Eleven Of July returning for his first EP. Since first emerging four years ago, Italian artist August Proto aka Eleven Of July has enjoyed a steady rise in the world of melodic house and techno. His astral sounds have found favour with andME, Dj Tennis, Dubfire, Undercatt and more, while landing him releases via Awen Records, Dear Deer, Eat My Hat and Us and Them Records. Having made his Movement Recordings debut last year with a contribution to the label's popular 'Technical Progress' Vol. 11 collection, Eleven Of July now returns for his first EP entitled 'Call From the Blue'.

Spread across four tracks it's the cosmic techno sounds of the title selection which get the EP underway. Dark and mysterious from the outset, it's punchy low end and rippling rhythms provide momentous drive, while astral hooks and haunting atmospheres fill in the framework. A symphonic lead theme rises, adding further spice to the groove, before a second and final break serves drama and tension as the framework resets for a prophetic finale. The second selection 'Needful Things' surveys a similar design profile but with a further lean into progressive techno territory. Beginning with a stripped yet punchy groove, the piece evolves with crunchy rhythms, wispy vocal elements and an arcane lead line carrying into the main break. Low end swells and swirling noise make for a tense interlude, as the main theme shape-shifts deeper into your subconscious, eventually melting down to a wave of noise and frantic final act.

The EP's halfway point is marked by 'From Beyond' which finds Eleven Of July continuing to flex the peak time side of his studio repertoire. Tough and muscular throughout, it's an incredibly thrilling seven-minute journey. Bulbous beats and pulsating grooves provide the foundation, while metallic tones marry percussive flashes and icy pads, before getting washed away in a trail of thunderous sonics. The release concludes with 'Not Going Far' where Eleven Of July explores a darker narrative without drifting too far from the mood set by its predecessors. It's tough, rolling groove is perfectly carved, adorned with dynamic drums, waves of percussion and compelling cosmic artefacts. Sitting as a tasteful complement to the previous selections, its melodic prowess proves irresistible, with a striking lead theme paving the way towards an exhilarating finale. It rounds out an inspired collection of music from Eleven Of July, making for an excellent return to Tash's Movement Recordings

El Retsof, UK based newcomer to the Findike Records roster, joins forces with a returning face, Ukraine's Following Light, to deliver an electrifying two-track trip that'll make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up on end.

 
Lead track 'Neuro Diversity' gets straight to the point as its heavy, pumping bass pounds towards a glowing break that you'd never have guessed was coming with its extravagant display of steel drum-like layered chinks and chimes, leading to lighting strikes that'll blow your mind as the melodic bass drops and they intertwine.

 
The B-side on this is just as impressive as the A-side, but with a noticeably more uplifting edge. 'Synaptic Contact' creeps in with a sustained synth wavering with intensity like a hornet wasp on the hunt, and builds beneath a warm, celestial atmosphere littered sparsely with random echoing hits and crashes before reaching a climax that'll hurtle you into oblivion with the weight of a thousand suns.

 
We'd like to thank El Retsof and Following Light for this remarkable body of work that we know you will enjoy, and that we are very proud to add to the Findike Records catalogue. Let's hope it is the first collaboration of many.
