The beginning of the Somatic Phase embarks with the debut of Onkel Schabernack. What began a few years ago with a spotify playlist through pure personal enthusiasm about psychedelic Techno music ended up in curating one of the most liked psytech playlists. While planning the first edition of Somatic Phase it was obvious who would get a chance to play the opening. A very good friend who is extremely passionate about music and his new hobby.

With almost ten years behind the decks, Avo has been shaping the local scene of his hometown as a DJ, producer, and organizer of countless parties and collaborations.

Starting out in classic Psytrance, his path led through deep Forest sounds and back to Techno — a mix that evolved into his signature style: Psytech.
For him, it’s more than a genre — it’s a bridge between two scenes that originally share the same values and pulse.

Known for his distinctive Nightpsy sound, he sticks on break poor sets true to the motto:
“Late nights for strange minds.”

As a DJ he's an integral part of the scene and played too many shows for listing up. Besides his musical influence he also takes part of the organizing and booking section at own events or his homebase Waldfrieden.
