Furtive's super-saturated genre-mashing set from the SEQUENCE Four Year Anniversary stream. This set zips through pointillist techno hypnotics, drum'n'bass wigglers, tongue-in-cheek pop-club deconstructions, neo-rave pedal-pushers, and cryptic ambient book-ends. One hell of a journey. 

Recorded in August 2020 during pandemic swelter, this set was played at the last event organized by SEQUENCE in an important warehouse venue formerly vital to DC's underground. While SEQUENCE and this same warehouse may have been laid to rest, the energy of the events and the memories of foggy warehouse experiences will live with us forever.

Somersault Mix 101 (Panooc) “August Haze”

From illegal South American open-air raves to underground clubs across Europe, DJ and producer Whitney Weiss exuberantly delights during her dynamic sets using skills honed during years of playing 8+ hour stretches in Argentinian factories and parks. 

In 2010, Whitney became one of the residents at Dengue Dancing, a Björk and BUTT Magazine-approved weekly party in Buenos Aires. With Dengue resident Nicolas Vernon, she started Father Figures, a series of raves that took place in train depots, warehouses, and public parks. 

Years of long-form sets spent weaving house and disco with less expected genres led to residencies at London’s Dalston Superstore and for Club Sandwich at Palais de Tokyo in Paris, as well as slots at northern hemisphere parties, including Buttons(Berlin), PAT (Brooklyn), Savage (London), Smolna (Warsaw), qLab (Milan), Yo! Sissy (Berlin), The Carry Nation (Brooklyn), Tropical Animals (Florence), Paradisco (New York), and Kiddy Smile's infamous Strangé party (Paris), among many others. 

Now based in Paris and Berlin, Whitney is in the seventh year of her Rinse France residency. Her unreleased original music can be found on mixes she did for Trax Magazine, Cómeme, and for Violet's Naive imprint, the latter of which Resident Advisor included in their 2019's May's Best Music. 2021 saw the release of her remix for Rouge Mary (Hercules & Love Affair), with more remixes coming soon.

DJ RAQX (Raquel Bräu Díaz) is a founding member of miss/chief collective, a non-binary & womxn of color collective based in New York City. Miss/chief expresses freedom through curating diasporic soundscapes and facilitating communal creative spaces. Raquel is a native New Yorker of Puerto Rican and German descent. Her music is heavily influenced by her hybrid cultures mixing a variety of rhythmic dance music with a foundation in house music, underground electronic sounds, playful beats and a latin twist. Outside of dancing and DJing, Raquel is an elementary school teacher by day.
