Recorded live over a weekend in a cosy bach, this four-track folk EP from Something They Call Myth captures the quiet magic of sharing songs and stories face to face. With stripped-back arrangements, creaking floorboards, and the occasional laughter in the background, it feels like a late-night campfire session among close friends - intimate, imperfect, and completely real.
“Embers,” a glowing duet with Ms. Mia, opens the set with hushed harmonies and flickers of longing. “Jack,” featuring the rich vocals of Amylia, is one moment a cautionary tale of risk and peer pressure, the next a quiet triumph of resilience and redemption. The title track “Magic Place” was written and performed by all three artists. It drifts between hope and hesitation, both a plea and a promise. The closing track “House of Friends” is a gentle exhale, a tribute to fleeting togetherness and the comfort of shared memories.
There are no overdubs here, no studio tricks - just voices, friends, and stories echoing off wooden walls and into the night.
