Dani Lion is a Dakelh Dene & Secwepemc Performing Artist, Audio Engineer and Music Producer based out of Saik'uz First Nation . Dani Lion has a diploma in Advanced Studio Recording & Electronic Music Production from the Nimbus School of Recording & Mixed Media along with additional credits in Audio Engineering and Artist Development. Fusing her traditional language and culture into her music, making modern Indigi-pop, folk, soul music, hiphop & electronic fusion (among many genres of vibe & choice) with an Indigenous twist and representation. Dani worked on the first commercial release of Indigenous Slam Poet Tawahum’s single “Shedding” she has worked with Snotty Nose Rez Kids, Jodie B and Dj Kookum to name just a few of the local Indigenous artists she is lending an Engin-ear & vocal production too. Dani is also Mistress of Ceremonies for Cosmic Co Motion Circus based out of Kelowna, and a dance & event facilitator, audio nerd, and mix master for the dance crew Light Twerkerz based out of Vancouver . She is establishing her new business Dani Lion Music & Productions, and is focusing on her song writing, audio engineering and music production, beat making, performing, and learning the art of Djing.
