Este ano o Festival Contato precisou ser antecipado em função da pandemia COVID e da situação nacional cada vez mais grave. Começamos 01 de março e esperamos não durar muito, mas enquanto precisar, o que era um evento, agora mantém-se um espaço, um hospital de campanha para nossa sanidade mental.

Em "praça pública”: a internet. Tudo é construído com parcerias, trabalho voluntário, respeito ao próximo e doação. Com civilidade, sem ódio, sem negacionismo. Com uma abordagem positiva, que permita um respiro à nuvem tóxica que se formou nesses últimos tempos. O Contato começou em 2005, virou virtual em 2007 e teve várias edições, até 2019, no Dia Mundial de Luta Contra a Aids - 1o de dezembro. No ano passado optamos por mudar o foco da epidemia HIV-Aids para a atual pandemia, mais devastadora ainda que a aids.

O Projeto Contato reafirma a necessidade de mobilização social no enfrentamento da pandemia, e se propõe a ser um espaço de descanso, discussão e reflexão sobre o nosso papel nesse momento. Não abandonemos o humano que há em nós e nem aqueles que estão sendo tratados com total desumanidade, ao nosso lado, na nossa frente.

A luta que começou em 2005, com a Laços, uma ONG da Letícia, uma amiga de Goiânia que a aids levou (que era a própria ONG, sua casa, sua vida…), a luta de tanta gente querida que perdemos, e a luta diária de tantos outros brasileiros que precisam de médicos, de medicamentos, de oxigênio, de portas abertas, de um Brasil que enxergue as pessoas com suas diferenças e identidades únicas (não para dividi-las, mas para igualá-las), é a luta que precisamos abraçar. Um pequeno guarda-chuva, nessa tempestade, mas que se trouxer um pouco de alento e um respiro para enfrentá-la já está valendo. E também porque afeta todos, cidadãos e cidadãs que compartilhamos, além da humanidade, o pertencimento a esse país que chamamos Brasil. Pois assistir o que seus habitantes estão vivendo, sem indignar-se e buscar ajudar (e não atrapalhar como algumas “autoridades") é impossível. Para reclamar, xingar o governo e lamentar não faltam canais.

O Projeto Contato busca a irradiação de informações que estimulem o trabalho de prevenção, assistência social e o exercício da cidadania. Convidamos você para essa praça virtual, com música, imagens, ideias e ações construtivas!
