I closed my studio and moved to my friends for a while when I was creating Geni. You don't always need a studio to be able to produce. Sometimes the necessary inspiration can come from a place far from your studio. I can say that Geni is the most different part of me.

Arutani - Falling On My Face (Snippet)

@andys-echo & Funghi are two like-minded musicians and producers from Hamburg with a soft spot of unorthodoxy. Their ‘Treacherous EP’ is an example of what happens when the two buddies collaborate and combine their atypical approaches to electronic music production.

The title track ‘Treacherous’ is a catchy, yet powerful down tempo gem, based on an a-rhythmic base line, a sophisticated acoustic drum groove and warm, analog synth sounds. The vocal hooks bring in a pop vibe while the snappy arpeggio keeps the track in an electronica environment with a psychedelic touch.

‘Strings & Wood’ on the other hand is a club-orientated, organic and casually funky affair. Except for the kick drum and the synth bass, almost every sound you can hear was created by recording, processing and manipulating an old acoustic piano.
@klingebiel, @padouc and @sven-wegner each contributed an unique remix, turning the original tracks into new, unexpected directions and thereby rounding out a many-faceted, top quality EP.
