Our 16th episode welcomes @kapoormusic, one of our most favorite producers when it comes to high quality underground music. We came across his music when we heard his first release on Akumandra which made us fall in love immediately. His dark but highly emotional sounds makes one travelling through time and space.

It’s about time! For the very first Mbuki-Mvuki-Mix!
‘Mbuki Mvuki’ comes from the Buntu tribe in Africa. Yes, they have words for that irresistible urge you can get when you hear such good music it gets you right in the mood that you just HAVE to take off all your clothes so you can dance around naked  - Nothing to add to that feeling!  

Creating this mix, I was inspired by many gorgeous podcasts that I listened to during the finest trips together with friends last winter. With all clubs closed it transformed our weekend gatherings into powerful pajama parties ;) This mix is an ode to those adventures ❤ 

My aim for the Mbuki Mvuki Movement is to collab with inspiring epic women, and hopefully help close the gap just a little bit more as there are still so many powerful female artist too little known ❤ I can't wait for the Mbuki Mvuki tribe to evolve :)

A departure from my usual dance mixes, this starts at a chilled 90bpm and gradually moves up, travelling throughout the different continents of the globe with ethnic sounds, hypnotic beats, ethereal chants, tribal percussions and acid riffs... I've always loved World music and the fusion of folk and classical sounds with electronic productions. There are some old as well as more recent tracks, and it's a long mix, hope you enjoy.

Symbiosis (from Greek συμβίωσις, symbíōsis, "living together", from σύν, sýn, "together", and βίωσις, bíōsis, "living") is any type of a close and long-term biological interaction between two different biological organisms, be it mutualistic, commensalistic, or parasitic. 

The organisms, each termed a symbiont, must be of different species. 

Symbiosis can be obligatory, which means that one or more of the symbiosis depend on each other for survival, or facultative (optional), when they can generally live independently.

Symbiosis is also classified by physical attachment. When symbionts form a single body it is called conjunctive symbiosis, while all other arrangements are called disjunctive symbiosis.

 When one organism lives on the surface of another, such as head lice on humans, it is called ectosymbiosis; when one partner lives inside the tissues of another, such as Symbiodinium within coral, it is termed endosymbiosis.

You could say he' is a real Downtemp/ Slow Groove Connoisseur. His collected cast is very driving but in a way hypnothic. He takes you on a journey through dark and mysterious worlds but some times you get to the peak and sunlight will shine upon your face.

Der Beginn des September steht ganz im Zeichen der Entschleunigung. Eine neue Zeit beginnt, eine neue Reise erwartet uns. @ener-music hat das Ruder mit beiden Händen in die Hand genommen und manövriert das Schiff in bisher noch unbekannte Sphären des musikalischen Raumes.

Wir freuen uns sehr über diesen emotionalen Beitrag zu unser kleinen Serie und begrüßen mit @ener-music einen Rostocker Jungen, der zusammen mit der Faultierdisko Crew und seiner Podcast Serie "deep&smooth" zu einem Downbeat-Leuchtturm im Norden gewachsen ist.

Wir sind Éner schon seit einiger Zeit verfallen und haben seinen unverwechselbaren Sinn für entschleunigte Platten sehr sehr schätzen gelernt. Darüber hinaus liegt sein Fokus nicht auf irgendwelchen Hypes oder Trends, sondern vielmehr auf der Liebe zur Musik und Idee und Leidenschaft hinter dem Ganzen. Allein deshalb ist er etwas ganz besonderes und der MeeronautenCast eine absolute Perle.

Live recording of our set at a private weekender with friends somewhere in a forest in lower saxony. Same set we played a week later at our friend Anna's bday in another forest somewhere in northern Germany. Hope you enjoy.

Ferienreif 

Alle Jahre wieder kommt er zur Schülerschaft hernieder. Wenn das Thermostat beinah zerspringt und aufgrund der Hitze nur noch die Grille singt. Seit Tagen ist die Konzentration im Keller und die Zeit vergeht gefühlt langsamer, nicht schneller. 
Teilweise kommt die Lehrerschaft den kleinen und großen ein wenig entgegen, mit einem Klassenfrühstück oder Filmchen zum abschalten und zurücklehnen. Von diesen angenehmen Privilegien mal abgesehen, im Hochsommer sollte man schwimmen, nicht in die Schule gehen. 
Ein Glück nähert er sich unaufhaltsam,  der „Schuljahres Hauptgewinn“, der letzte Tag vor Ferienbeginn. Ab diesem Zeitpunkt bekommt das Schülerleben wieder einen Sinn. 
Zum einen ambivalent, weil man seine Klassenkameraden 6 Wochen lang nicht sieht. Zum anderen wunderschön, weil man 42 Tage lang dem Schulalltag entflieht. 

Dom Waits transportiert mit diesem Podcast eindeutig Ferienstimmung und die damit einhergehende gute Laune. Sommerliche Beats geben den Takt an, rauchig-verruchte Vocals, sowie Melodien aus den Synthesizern füllen den Raum mit ehrlicher Lebenslust. 
Dom beweist Feingefühl und Liebe zum Detail. Diese Leidenschaft investiert er am liebsten in sein Projekt, den Outro Podcast. Wir wünschen ihm alles erdenklich Gute und bedanken uns für dieses schnittige Sommer Set <3

Eines wundervollen Sommertages lag der liebe Volker an einem brasilianischen Strand, ließ sich die Sonne auf sein Haupt scheinen. Der angenehm süßliche Geruch der Sonnencreme stieg ihm in die Nase. Der Wind strich sanft durch die Palmen. Von Zeit zu Zeit meldete sich die wilde Stimme des Urwalds. Das Leben schien perfekt. Volker am wegdösen, der Gesichtsausdruck leicht dämlich entgleist, da springt er auf und schreit: 
"Was mach ich hier eigentlich?! Ich muss unbedingt ein paar Tracks zocken."
Herr Arnold düst geschwind zum nächstebesten DJ Pult und legt  gewohnter Manier ein paar feine Töne übernander. 
Aber genug der Worte, hört am besten selbst was der gute Mann da zusammengeschnibbselt hat.

FRUITCAST #26 | volker arnold | KARAMBOLAGE

Multitasking: DJ, musical producer, tattooist, plastic-digital artist. That's Guedes, with only twenty-three years, the Sao Paulo based artist is also running the Brazilian parties 'Caixa Esquerda' and 'Bicudinhos no Lounge' besides being currently immersed in the musical curating activities of the newborn netlabel SENSO. Regarding musical production, Guedes uses Guaraci as an alias, where he gives artistic life to a project with a strong sense of cultural and ethnic identity, which possibly can also contribute and feed his other artistic facets.

Guaraci contributes to this 188th edition which was recorded in his home studio, with Ableton Live and midi controllers. In the mixtape he collects several sound atmospheres, concentrates and directs the workflow in rhythmic progression. With changes in bpms, overlapping loops and a wild desire to explore the groove, the selection of almost 65 minutes is a translucent and tuning reflection of his daily musical research, the story is told from reference sounds. The result is a sound plot full of synesthetic, sensitive and psychedelic immersions.
