BIO
Jesús Aparicio is a deejay and producer from Cantabria who has been releasing electronic music for almost 20 years under various nicknames. It is in Salamanca where he develops the beginning of his career, being a resident of emblematic clubs such as “Cubic Club”, “Submarino”, “Beatz” or his own venue, “Clavel Ocho”, where “Espacio Cielo” sessions were born. . At this stage he had the opportunity to work and learn from famous DJs such as Francesco Farfa, Hot Chip, Jimpster, Ben Sims, Oscar Mulero, Angel Molina, Pete Herbert, Shinedoe, Marc Marzenit and many more.

In 2012, tired of accumulating music for which he couldn’t find a place, his alias Parissior was born, influenced by a mix of nu disco, acid house, slow techno, italo, nu wave, electro and industrial styles . In 2020 he launched his own record label, “Espacio Cielo“, in which he has published works and remixes by producers such as Theus Mago, Silicodisco, Zombies in Miami, Italo Brutalo, Azaria, Ivan de la Rouch, Mufti or Moo Moonster, to be highlighted from a long list of artists along 44 references.

His EP’s and remixes have been published on labels such as Nein (London), AEON (Berlin), Esthetique, Melopee (France), HEAREC (Germany/Bolivia) or Wonder Stories (USA) among others, being remixed by names like Kendal, Theo Kottis, Franz Scala or Freudenthal plus a long list of artists from the Nu Disco/Dark Disco scene. In 2022 he will release music on Critical Monday, Ombra International, Slow Cycle or Espacio Cielo, featuring remixes by Fabrizio Mammarella, Alex Medina, Zombies In Miami and Disco Mortale, as well as remixes on Nein, Tici Taci and Pinorama. It’s common to find his tracks in sessions of artists such as Curses, Tronik Youth, John Paynter, Silicodisco, Moo Moonster..

Today, he is one of the most requested remixers in his style, having delivered works for artists such as Dj Rocca, Rayko, K-Effect, Daniel Monaco, Shubostar, Jason Peters, CSK or Tronik Youth. As a DJ he has played in London, Marseille, Rome, Moscow, Madrid, Lisbon…

Today he has his home base in Oviedo (Asturias), where he combines his daily work with his studio work, mixing and Mastering for other artists and developing music for brands, TV / radio commercials or audiobooks.

Very pleased to welcome Space Commander Miss Zagato on the show! Released on French label La Dame Noir Marseilles when the Titan Submarine sank to deathly depths, Miss Zagato has had a knack for the prophetic.
The co-producer of Quattrovalvole recorded the lyrics for Via Tokyo two weeks before Kepler-1649C was identified by the retired Kepler Satellite as an exoplanet, habitable for human life, '300 light years' from Planet Earth. Danse Alice brings out more darkness in Submarine, Ludviq's Denoche remix bangs in sync bringing us into some underwater disco, the vocals of Edd Brave's track spiral with bubbles an underwater kiss into Miss Zagato's vocals like a siren's seduction, with Ivan Fabra's remix of heaven for Beyond the Struttosphere's long awaited Satellite Cities (played by these guitar playing Cosmonauts at Electric Brixton, Glastonbury, Ukupulka). Badknife comes in like an 80s werewolf on Beyond the Strutt's Odyssey-10 taking us back to the moon with those signature Strutt guitars from space. We don't know how she does it, but Ledi Cannit takes tinkle bells in Italo Disco to the industrial warehouse party, like taking Miss Zagato from the Hermitage terrace to an underground party, propping her up on a chain belt and seeing if she can balance. We're there now, so we all dance to Ulises Arrieta's Rider remix for Iuan LaTech and then Brandski's remix of Darpah for Dog.ma takes us through a door to the 80s. Nouveau Futur push us back through the same door but we're in a corridor, willingly seduced by someone from the other side. Betty69's vocals tell us we don't want to go anywhere now, stay and get lost in the dark corridor, with this here stranger. We can feel the walls banging from the rooms full of darkness and Italo. Ah, but then someone reaches in and grabs you from the Italo room and pulls you into clean, unadulterated tritones of Quattrovalvole's first single Into the Night (vinyl only, Furioza/Bordello a Parigi). Then you're brought out to the smoking room, there's only a few people, leaning against the wall. The lights are bright, you don't know what you're doing there. You start thinking about that Submarine, and what is this? You're floating.

A selection of many of my favourite tracks from recent times, a dynamic and lively set, with good rhythm and energy, smooth at times and a little more energetic at others, but with a great variety of rhythms and nuances on the journey :)

Moderna's style is described as a dark heady blend of Dark Disco, Electro, Acid and Techno with wrought darkened vocals that has become her signature distinction. With her unique blend, she has got a contribution on The Matrix 4 Soundtrack by Tom Tykwer on Warner Brothers Records and her discography also includes three EPs with Mexican-based artist Theus Mago. Now residing in Berlin, the Los Angeles transplant gained momentum in Europe while working on new productions, touring and focusing her energy on hybrid label and radio show ‘Brave New Rave’.

The metaphor of life as a journey is deeply embedded in most cultures. But it’s particularly apt for Joyce Muniz. Born in Brazil, she moved to Vienna in her teens and now splits her time between there, where she has her studio and a show on national radio station FM4, and Berlin. She started her career as a DJ and MC at Vienna’s Flex club, then found fame as a vocalist, touring alongside Major Lazer, before dedicating herself to production, supported by labels such as Exploited, Get Physical, Permanent Vacation, International DJ Gigolo and Pets. Most recently she took her music on the road, performing live with different orchestras across Germany as part of the Synth Live project, the first woman to join them. All this is alongside continual DJing, recently touring Australia to tick off playing every continent – bar the less-than-club-friendly Antarctica. Now turn up the volume and spread the word!

Andrew Weatherall was a main influence for the Something Spæcial series from the get-go, so here finally is The Robot Scientists tribute to one of the most influential, creative, productive, classy and original producers we know. We decided to pick the tracks, remixes and co-productions from him we love most and put them in almost full length into a slowly developing, slowly grooving pretty long mix that pays complete respect to the meticulously drafted tracks and all their fantastic details mainly from his A Love From Outer Space years 2012-20. It is a homage just as a monument we hope for his creative output. Enjoy the ride.

Early 90’s, born & raised to David Bowie & Talking Heads music Did Virgo was ready to stumble upon House & Techno Music.
Embarking on a trip from London to Chicago & Detroit, the 30 years old boy got access to Marseille’s 1st electronic club control desk as a destination.
Techno & House Music were still a sub-culture in the making and Did Virgo wanted to share the love not only by djing but also by opening a bar, broadcasting a radio show & promoting events in his hometown.
Y2K was the time to make it complete by running a label « Pornflake » & starting
producing music with a friend. The boys got the chance to remix « Troublemakers » and to release a few EPs on an English label…. Did Virgo was ready to start to produce music on his own and he started another label called virgo music with his soulmate Paul Virgo.
2010, « La dame Noir » opens a bar in Marseille, this place is devoted to slow tempo & the dark side of disco music, Did Virgo is attracted.
The bar evolves in a club, he takes a residency, the club evolves into a label and Did Virgo find a natural home to release his music. And from there, the story evolved...here is his spæcial mix!
