Recently we discovered this beauty of a song from the Australian group "Crooked Colours" which is based in Perth and we fell immediately in love with it. The original is great, but a bit hard to dance to, so we rearranged some elements cause we thought some people might be interested in a more clubby version. It is tenderly made with the greatest respect for the original and we hope you will like it as much as we do. A great tune for fans of John Talabot and The XX ;). We have the official OK to distribute it for free, so spread the word and pay a visit to the original band:

Epicure Records is psyched to deliver the fresh new release of producers, Silicodisco & Bias

In this project the two guys have joined forces to produce an Ep blending subtly, proper industrial sounds, classic rave drum sequences, and atmospheric trance grooves. It will be out on the 24 of January.

The first track, "Bunery," evokes dreamy and trance-like sounds that transport the listener to an enchanting atmosphere. One can easily imagine listening to this track at a rave under the Mexican sun. The hypnotic beats and ethereal melodies create an immersive musical experience, perfect for transcending the boundaries of reality.

The second original track is a bold blend of dark disco and house, creating a unique fusion of catchy rhythms and mysterious melodies making it a versatile track capable of energizing any dance floor.

Zaratustra takes the track "Bunery" and remixes it in an energetic, club-tailored fashion. This remix amplifies the trance elements of the original track, with pounding bass and powerful synths.

Neskeh's remix for "Solid Feed" offers a cosmic and transcendent journey. Trance sounds blend with mysterious and acid elements, creating a sonic experience reminiscent of a bold and immersive exploration.

SPÆCIAL FREE DL: Boney M - New York City (TRS Electro-Disco-Trance Edit)

We begin our retro futuristic journey into 2024 with a brilliant EP by french DJ and producer Vaälha. Through dark soundscapes, mean synthesizers and heavy percussion, this Odyssey will make you feel like the main character in any sci-fi movie exploring the vast unknown space or an alien planet far from home.

To make this journey a little safer, we brought along three talented producers; Panthera, My Secret Playground and Austher, to guide us through eventual parallel dimensions and alternate realities.

With their own interpretations of what an ‘Odyssey’ could be like, Panthera opted for what we think is a modern EBM interpretation of reality. While this reality may seem like a stripped off version of reality, don’t be fooled! There’s an intricate amount of detail waiting to be explored.

My Secret Playground turned ‘Laser Shooting’ into an acid trip, exploring possible and parallel dimensions which seems both creepy and hauntingly beautiful, by adding additional melodies to the original.

Austher turned ‘Clear Mind’ into a real powerhouse. A very adventurous powerhouse that despite all the power, feels somewhat more optimistic. If there was any fuel missing in the tank, it’s because Austher’s version used up all of it.

The two friends, Bruce the bat person and Vector Malevolent, combine their talents to deliver an explosive EP released on the Epicure Records label on March 27th.

At the heart of this EP lies the original track "Mé en Té", a bold creation that defies the conventions of cosmic dark disco, inviting both dance and introspective journeys.

"Mé en Té" is much more than just a musical track; it's a sensory experience where every note, every beat, transports the listener into a fascinating parallel universe. The composition is filled with surprises, including the unexpected arrival of a trumpet solo that enriches the sonic texture and adds palpable warmth to the whole.

Alemao, with his cosmic and euphoric vision, chooses to remove the trumpet to create an even more immersive atmosphere.

Cosmosolar, on the other hand, opts for an ultra-club remix, skillfully blending hypnotic acid sounds for an unforgettable dance experience.

F.U.R.O. takes us on an epic journey, slower but equally captivating, evoking almost the epic battles of Final Fantasy game.

Giorgio Isaev, meanwhile, offers a dark and rave remix, evoking the feverish atmosphere of Berlin warehouses in the early hours.

Finally, Nick Hanzo closes the show with his signature rhythmic and transporting beats, adding an extra dose of raw energy and irresistible groove to this already impressive collection.

Jean-Jacques Perrey from Paris was one of the first Moog musicians, creating "far out electronic entertainment" already in the 1960s. He released albums with names we love like "Musique Electronique Du Cosmos (Electronic Music From Outer Space)" (1962) or "Cadmus Le Robot De L'Espace" even from 1959. We ran into "Cosmic Bird", this fantastic tune he recorded with Air in 2000 roughly, recently on an old CD, burnt from Audiogalaxy and Soulseek shares in the early 2000s which we didn't listen to for decades. It reminded us somehow of our first edit of "Popcorn" by Magic Men (and the original of course, the first synth chart hit by Hot Butter from 1972). It not only has a futuristic, but also a fun side to it and a psychedelic one too, like our favorite Italo tracks, so we decided to edit it to take the wonderful hypnotic madness of the original to the extreme. :) Enjoy! And listen to the original whereever you can find it.
