Highly influenced by early 1980’s electronic music and classic 90's trance, Emilio Van Rijsel from Lille, France, debuts on Italo Moderni with energetic Moroder-esque propelling bass lines next to epic synth patterns and hypnotic sounds. With “Tendre Furie EP”, Emlio van Rijsel offers a glimpse of the wide array of his influences, embarking us on a synthful romantic & melancholic journey, depicting the nostalgia of missed blissful raving nights. Without a doubt, Italo Moderni bets on this great artist who has a very promising future on the dancefloors.
Remixes duties fall to Raw Union man St. Theodore, who replaces those italo trance flourishes with the strobe-lit pulse of Giallo and master producer Daniel Monaco the layers of well-informed 80s synth wave sends us into another dimension with high energy vibes.

Released October 20th Next Wave Acid Punx DEUX is the second compilation of dark electronic club music compiled and curated by Luca Venezia, aka Curses for Eskimo Recordings. A decades spanning collection - featuring a mammoth 49 tracks, spread across 3CDs and three 2LPs.

Originally members of Ukrainian post-punk band Gil’otina, Kyiv based Ivan Kotsyubinsky and Dmitry Shevtsov launched their Hungry Boys side-project in 2020 to experiment with Italo and synth wave sounds. On Toi, their contribution to Curses' new Next Wave Acid Punx DEUX compilation, those influences are on full display, as they mix razor sharp disco beats with mesmerising synth arpeggios, ominous EBM like stabs and vocals that echo off into space.

Neud Photo (Nico Nightingale) has been on a tear lately and this latest offering for Mysidian shows up as his most dark and menacing. The electro meets techno sound we know him for is still prevalent but the amnesia-inducing 'Dreamz' carries thumping EBM and New Beat influences as well. R&S meets Subway meets Mute. 
While each track plays on it's own themes independently with tasteful vocal samples and industrial energy, the thing they all have in common is obvious.
