Here it is, the first single release on the new Something Spæcial label: a cosmic banger by Danish DJ legend Rune Cosmic and his Spanish remixer Emesh!

Rune Cosmic is collecting vinyl records since 1979 and DJ since 1983, he made a lot of radio (Radio Vega, Radio Silkeborg) and was part of the Club scene as Resident DJ in Silkeborg with Club New Romantic. He more recently made Radio podcasts and mixes for Something Spæcial, Discoteca, Disco Suicide, Maledetta Dicoteca, Prima Musica, Archaic Future Sounds, Mattoni Pazzi, Counterterraism, Welcome to Rimini, EL VIAJE & Disco Tic and here is his first single!

The remixer is Emesh: the project of Antonio Muñoz, both a musician and therapist. His musical influences owe much to the pop and electronics of the 80s when he started working as resident Dj at Deadly club in Brihuega (Guadalajara-Spain) about 9 years. From there he went to Madrid to do Dj sets in various popular nightspots of the capital like the Circulo de Bellas Artes, Mondo and Maxime between others. He also has an interest in shamanism and has learned techniques from various ancient cultures to work with sound for therapeutic purposes. Antonio gives regular sound therapy sessions and concerts using his Tibetan Singing Bowls, Shamanic Drum and other ancient instruments. In 2020 one of his tracks has been chosen to enter the program of the London Music Conference and has been invited by the organizers to play a set at the Fabric of London. 

Their first single comes out on the newly created Something Spæcial label, the 'SpAcey+SpEcial=SpÆcial' podcast and premiere series that merges exceptionally trippy music from genres like Indie Dance, Cosmic Disco, Italo Trance, Playa Tech, Balearic and Organic-Progressive-Psy-House which already runs since 2013. 
It was founded by vinyl collector and Italo Disco lover Markus Schneider of The Robot Scientists and Emerald & Doreen Records fame. Markus found out later, as he didn't know the series, that almost at the same time Sean Johnston and the late Andrew Weatherall created the 'A Love From Outer Space' event series in the UK with a very similar love for magical midtempo dance music. 
The label now seeks to release more spaced-out, vocal-part including, arpeggiator driven singles and compilations in direct lineage of the 11 years of output the series has created.

Italian duo DOG.MA and British darkness queen Miss Zagato (SXDNS417) deliver E//it The Matri// (// = x, FYI), a hypnotic blend of shadowy elements and entrancing vocals. The title's matrix concept operates on dual levels – as both a mathematical grid of intersecting possibilities and a philosophical statement about layered realities. The original mix balances whispering synths against Miss Zagato's smoke-tinged delivery, cultivating an environment that's equally meditative and electrically charged. This is music that breathes, alternating between coiled tension and expansive release.

The parcel includes reworks by DJ Caligari and Emesh, with the latter guiding listeners through a transformative experience. Emesh's interpretation wraps Zagato's vocals in diaphanous synth veils that conjure dawn breaking through ancient trees – a gradual unfurling that rewards patient attention. The remix maintains the original's emotional core while charting its own course through textured ambience and restrained rhythmic pulses.

Beyond the music, the Matri// concept taps into something more radical – the idea of the Matrix as the fake world we inhabit, a system of illusions designed to keep us complacent. Governments, consumer culture, and digital distractions form the bars of this invisible cage, feeding us narratives to prevent true awakening. DOG.MA and Miss Zagato’s collaboration feels like a rebellion against this construct, using rhythm and voice to disrupt the programmed numbness.
