Wir bewegen uns so langsam auf die 100 zu, aber vorher rollen wir nochmal gemeinsam zu den Bässen dieses grandiosen Mixes von Till @augensteinofficial aus Halle auf dem Dancefloor.
Er ist Mitglied der @finebeatz Crew und tobt sich seit ca 10 Jahren in der Musik aus.

First things first: 

As some of you probably know, due to technical issues I couldn’t record my set through the mixer and therefore had no choice but to record it with the microphone of my zoom recorder… 

So, this is the best result I could get from the mix, after spending a lot of time, EQuing it and removing as many bad frequencies as I could. 

The mix, as you can hear, doesn't have the best sound quality, because the stage where I played was built inside containers, so I guess you’ll understand why it sounds like this (:

Despite all that, I still wanted to post the set, because this was a very special gig to me… I was surrounded by a very special audience that gave me the most beautiful energy during my whole performance. It made me feel very alive!

Ancient Future Now co-runner Johannes Klingebiel joins forces with singer and multi-instrumentalist Johanna Klein (known for her alternative pop project Liv Alma) to fuse into JKJK. While the naming process of the project might look a little trivial (because it is), the music of the pair is anything but. Their debut EP „Constellations“ is a splash of a broad color palette thrown onto the monochrome landscape that is our contemporary club music scene, elegantly hazing genre boundaries and creating their own world of pop-infused club music (or club-infused pop music?) in the process.


The BPM counter jumps erratically as we switch between the title track, which sounds like Donna Summer gone gritty downtempo house (yes, it works!), and follow-up „Rupture Of Two Souls“ with its delicate webs of synth structures building to an enormous emotional payoff in the third act. „Silky Days“ and „Water Strider“ might be those addictive tunes that never leave your daily listening playlists after hearing them the first time, with their effortless-seeming infusion of acoustic elements like guitar and drums evoking shades of the solo works of Thom Yorke or 90s Trip Hop á la Portishead or Massive Attack updated to 2020s aesthetics. „Sense“ and „Pipe Dreams“ are the most forward club-ready tunes of the pack, the former with its glitched-up vocals and saturated head-spinning straight-yet-odd beat patterns, and the latter with its beautiful ornamentalistic vocal and synth lines growing into increasingly complex and endearing structures over its seven minute runtime.

SCHLEPP GEIST: SPÆCIAL MIX 320

Sending us the first love notes from spring early february gave us a short glimpse of the warmer seasons. Though winter is now pushing us back into our cozy living rooms, @madmoiselle_myrna managed to catch some of the first warm sun rays of the year. Nimbly she cooped them up into a beautiful journey of soft synthesizers, deep melodies and a  cover of dreams. ✨

It helped me not being scared of new situations, not trying to do everything perfectly and going with my gut feeling. And keeping in mind: it will get easier. 🌷

Being part of the festival season for the first time since I am a DJ and making the best out of this first summer as a family.
