Behind the alter ego "Ultratube", there is a tremendously curious person with an obsession to constantly investigate new music, new structures and sounds that take him to another emotional state.

His sincere musical passion began to develop in the mid-90s, bathing himself in styles where distorted guitars predominated such as Indie Rock, Punk, Noise, Shoegaze, Indie Pop or Dream Pop, among others. In love with powerful bases and heavenly melodies.

At the beginning of 2000, contact with electronic music began through Techno, of a more minimalist and hypnotic style, with people like Richie Hawtin, Jeff Mills or Josh Wink among others. Already in the mid and late 2000s, he began to have contact with more melodic and atmospheric styles, such as Progressive House, influenced by people like John Digweed, Sasha or Hernan Cattaneo.

Around the year 2022, he falls in love with Disco in its most cosmic and spatial aspect (where he also plays Dark Disco, Italo Disco, Indie Dance, New Beat, Acid, Progressive, etc...).

He usually plays at El Barbero Club (Palma de Mallorca). One of the reference clubs in the city in terms of quality electronics with more than 30 years of experience.

The mixes he creates are usually journeys through hypnotic, narcotic, lysergic and melodic-melancholic sounds where they come together to create a rise in the listener's emotional intensity.

Counterterraism Guest Mix 369: Ultratube

Early 90’s, born & raised to David Bowie & Talking Heads music Did Virgo was ready to stumble upon House & Techno Music.
Embarking on a trip from London to Chicago & Detroit, the 30 years old boy got access to Marseille’s 1st electronic club control desk as a destination.
Techno & House Music were still a sub-culture in the making and Did Virgo wanted to share the love not only by djing but also by opening a bar, broadcasting a radio show & promoting events in his hometown.
Y2K was the time to make it complete by running a label « Pornflake » & starting
producing music with a friend. The boys got the chance to remix « Troublemakers » and to release a few EPs on an English label…. Did Virgo was ready to start to produce music on his own and he started another label called virgo music with his soulmate Paul Virgo.
2010, « La dame Noir » opens a bar in Marseille, this place is devoted to slow tempo & the dark side of disco music, Did Virgo is attracted.
The bar evolves in a club, he takes a residency, the club evolves into a label and Did Virgo find a natural home to release his music. And from there, the story evolved...here is his spæcial mix!

Consolidated by an experience accumulated in a 21-year-old career, André Rech is living a
moment of growing recognition in Brazilian dance music. A multi-instrumentalist based in
Brazil, he became devoted to the indie dance universe due to the genre's versatile quality.
André also celebrates his space in labels such as Fluxo, The Wav, Slow Cycle, Soviet
Records, Exx Underground, Young Society, Logia, Complexo Discos, MetanoIA, Arey and
Print ID, also gaining notoriety from the media platform Alataj and support from the likes of
Eelke Kleijn, Nicolas Rada , Joris Voorn and Dub Fire
Today in his full technical, personal and artistic maturity, André Rech is a member of Syce, a
record label, label party and content platform that connects names like Vasconcellos,
MeMachine, Heritage, Armonique and Mau Maioli. Simultaneously, he's been doing a
residency at The Lab Sessions, in Bogotá, Colombia. Boasting a dynamic research that
creates a dialogue with various profiles, André has become an artist to be noted and followed
beyond the scene of his home state of Santa Catarina. And through such creative
effervescence in the studio, he's also become a regular on Beatport's Top 100 Indie Dance
Hype chart.
