Today on the show, space commander @russell-penn! Russell started DJing back in 1988-1989. Along with a group of friends he promoted his first parties "Moonstomp", favouring the underground sound of New Beat and the EBM coming out of Belgium, Holland and the UK. 
Since then he has promoted and played at various parties including his first main London events, United Frequencies of Dance in the early 90's alongside DJs such as Andrew Weatherall, David Holmes, Darren Emerson and Leftfield's Paul Daley.
Early 2014 saw the birth of our his Música Noche project, an open minded genre-busting club night in East London with guests including Khidja, Vactrol Park, Craig Bratley, Richard Sen, Daniele Baldelli, Ruf Dug, Is It Balearic?, Nancy Noise, Phil Mison, Tim Paris, Scott Fraser, Field Of Dreams, Kyle Martin, Jaye Ward and many more.
More recently Russell has gravitated to ‘kindred spirits’ Kirsty Pemberton and Marc Hasler to form P.I.D.R (Passion In Dark Rooms) - Ultimately a DJ collective but with parties to boot!
Their nights have seen guest appearances from Phil Banks (Forgotten Corner), Ali Renault (Vivod Records), Nathan Gregory Wilkins and live performances from Stash Magnetic and agin, the brilliant Vactrol Park !

This creep year 2020 is ending, and although it has been complicated for all sectors, Melómana has remained on guard, producing and working so that the next few years are even more fruitful if possible. And what better testimony to her good work this year, getting some artists, of indisputable quality and musical trajectory, ignored by market trends, to emerge and re-bloom in the fairest way in the compilation. Artists of the stature of Syndrome Stockholm, Plastico, Gameboyz,  Pastor, Mijo, Max Jones, Panka Panka, Fabio Me Llaman Soltero and Johnsont & Johnston, come together to close a prolific season, demonstrating in turn their inordinate passion for hard-hitting rhythm and explosive synthesizers, without never lose the personality and exquisite taste. This compilation is not only a good sample of the healthy progress of its artists, giving them a deserved prominence, but it is also the consolidation of the label by a sound and a musical direction that crosses borders and still has much to discover.

Jack Butters is an electronic music producer, remixer, and DJ. Some major influences of his music include Rock 'n' Roll, Blues, and Soul. Jack has enjoyed and created a wide range of dance music and, more recently, he has been creating downtempo House Music, leading to a signing to Duncan Gray's tici taci label. Recently, he began collaborating with his father, Terry Butters (a professional pianist), who is often featured playing various instruments on his son's productions. Jack also performs occasional remix duties for Rich Lane's label, Cotton Bud.

Silent Servant remixed SASM – Democracy. SASM is Douglas McCarthy (Nitzer Ebb) and Robi Insinna. Democracy and Collective Action featured on INDUSTRIA Compilation #1. Juan Mendez aka Silent Servant is a producer and DJ from L.A. He added his apocalyptic culture aesthetics, capturing the youth-driven mutation of crossover electronics. The remix feels like a wired Alan Vega / Nitzer
Ebb track from the early 2000's that does not exist.

En esta ocasión tenemos un set muy especial con el Live de nuestro amigo @JackWasFaster realizado para el showcase de @rotten-city-records en colaboración con @HonestAllies y @Ballestaclub donde probó varios tracks en los que ha trabajado estos meses. 

En cuanto al equipo involucrado utilizó los sonidos de los Elektron Octatrack, MPC500, DSI mopho desktop, Cyclone TT303, boss blues driver BS2  y un delay tc electronic flashback x4, y otros que incorporará en breve a su nuevo live set.

Tras su paso por la banda Fira Fem (Aloud, Subterfuge) con la que se presentó en los festivales más destacados del país (Sónar, Primavera Sound, FIB, SOS, BBK), Manu Cachero se esconde bajo el alias JackWasFaster para dar rienda suelta a su pasión por la música electrónica.
En sus producciones, DJ sets y live shows, se centra en explorar la cara más sintética del disco, la electrónica de tinte post, el balearic oscuro, la herencia post-punk o el acid más crudo y underground.

En 2020 ha producido tracks para sellos como Inflect (UK), para su casa habitual, Rotten City y estrena un nuevo proyecto de cariz más experimental junto a su partner Johnston&Johnston, bajo el  nombre de Indies With Microkorgs.

Regarding the technical gear, he used Elektron Octatrack, MPC500, DSI mopho desktop, Cyclone TT303, boss blues driver BS2, and more.

After playing in many festivals like Sonar, Primavera Sound, FIB, BBK, with his band Fira Fem, Manu Cachero started his own path in the electronic music scene with his JackWasFaster alias. During his sets, mixes, productions, and live shows, he always focuses on pretty synthetic disco sounds, post punk, dark balearic, or even the most raw and underground acid. 

During this 2020 he's produced tracks for labels like Inflect (UK) and Rotten City. Manu is also starting a new project with a more experimental side, alogside Johnston & Johnston, called Indies With Microkorgs.
