At Modula, we are proud to present our eighth release: FISBO & Mentalitet's (@fisbomusic & @mentalitetmusic) "Steel Nomad" [MDL008], where the producers condenses spatial and robotic soundscapes, expressly based on continuous, acidic bass lines, whose progressive metamorphosis immerses the listener or dancer in terrains of dissimilar gravity, floating between the harmonics of the harsh bass lines and metallic sequences.

The highway of the first space voyage, "Steel Nomad" prophesizes from its title a sonic transition toward an spacey machine sound with great acid-psychedelic undertones. The harmony seems to extend in degrees that oscillate the subconscious in a hypnagogic state promoted by its breakbeat rhythms. The second space-traveling track, "Another Engine" manifests itself in progressive grooves that allow us to calibrate our dance steps to a gentle rhythm of musical synchronization, merging us into the spectrum of sound frequencies. The static harmony acts as a stage for the progressive perception of our bodily movements.

Both tracks are accompanied by their respective remixes. The first was produced by Cali Burton (@caliburton), who reworks the song, offering synthetic stimuli based on leads, bass, and sequences that embellish the original, as well as an acceleration of the tempo that adapts the song to more energetic, dance-like settings, ideal for peak-time. The second remix by Cosmosolar artist (@cosmosolarok) adds the label's signature indie dance touch to the original's machine-like sound, redirecting the original's intensity toward a dreamlike, italo, retro-futuristic club sound.

FISBO & Mentalitet:  One was behind the desk, the other walked in with questions - that’s how Mentalitet & FISBO began. What started as lessons turned into late-night sessions, ideas bouncing back and forth, shaping tunes that don’t fit into boxes. Always experimenting, never settling - just making music that feels right.

Remixer: Cosmosolar: Cosmosolar is the project of Argentine DJ and producer Alejandro Gamba, born in Patagonia and based in Buenos Aires. With international tours in Mexico, Europe and Chile, his presence in the global electronic music scene is becoming more and more important.

Founded in 2023, Modula is an electronic music label with a unique proposal in the Buenos Aires music scene. His sound aesthetics can be associated with indie dance, dark disco or melodic techno, but the fundamental essence of his music is the conditions of its production: the use of analog synthesizers, sequencers, rhythm machines and other hardware devices that they use the artists that belong to the label to produce and perform their music. That is where Module finds its identity. The sound exploration, the aesthetic search and the time dedicated to these artisan processes of composition and completion of the music differ from the current accelerated processes of electronic production and place the label's participants on the radar of artists who stand out for the use of these instrumentals and the curatorship of said music.
