Their latest EP Never Lost, Never Found has just been released on Night Noise, with remixes from Moscoman and Oli Warriner. In addition to this, they have a number of other tracks already signed for 2016, will be launching their own experience based events in Amsterdam late summer called ‘Altered States’ and will be spending time in Australia recording aboriginal music for a compilation towards the end of year. Its an exciting year ahead with lots going on, so watch this space.

SINCHI is an Amsterdam based collective of musicians, producers, artists and writers searching for those all too brief moments of truth through their chosen medium.  They have released a number of EP's on Dutch label "NightNoise" over the last couple of years with remixes from friends including Moscoman (that we premiered here at LYO), Heretic and FLVN amongst others.  In addition, they host their "Sinchi & Friends" mix series on their blog with track premieres from artists around the world.
In 2016, they launched their annual "Altered States" festival in Amsterdam. 
Sinchi is also behind www.sinchi-tribe.com, a non profit focused on the preservation of indigenous culture & knowledge. Coming soon will be a groundbreaking collaboration with aboriginal tribes and their traditional songlines with some of todays leading electronic music producers such as Tolouse Low Trax, Moscoman, Joy Orbison, Borusiade, Gilb’R or Heretic amongst others. In the Olmec civilization, the first one of Mesoamerica, existed a woman warrior named Nahuani. She always carried with his friend and counselor Ahuilizapan, a beautiful fishing eagle.

In one of battles fought together Nahuani was defeated, and Ahuilizapan flew to the top of the sky and let himself fall to the ground. In the place where he felt, little by little, a mountain was born and later became a volcano.

Time passed and Ahuilizapan remembered what happened to Nahuani, so he became enraged and erupted to burst its fury several times. Then people had to climb the "Pico de Orizaba", Ahuilizapan's beak, to pay tribute and avoid rage.

Number 32 in the series is @nsaofficial, Justin and Steve, friends since high school who have forged a great reputation as both dj's and promoters, hosting their NSA parties in Edinburgh with amazing guests over the years. We love their style and reckon they're two of the best track selectors around. Check out this beauty of a mix and gain a glimpse into their world.

1) Introduce yourself? 

Scottish DJ’s & Promoters No Strings Attached aka Steve Cass & Justin Wilson.

2) What have been your highlights from the last 12 months?

We had a great 2016 settling back into Edinburgh’s underground scene. All the parties we put on have been fantastic for many different reasons but it was a pleasure to have Optimo play for us for the first time.

3) What do you have lined up for the coming year?

We had a longer break than expected this Winter so we will be picking up our bi-monthly NSA presents again in Edinburgh’s Mash House kicking of with A Love From Outer Space on March 10th which has already sold out.

In May we celebrate 22 years of our club night which has lasted a lot longer than either of us anticipated and we have put together a very special line up to mark the occasion with Andrew Weatherall & Ivan Smagghe back to back all night long.

We will also be playing at this years Alfresco Festival in Tunbridge wells with a whole host of great acts, starting our irregular club at Sneaky Pete’s which is a really cool small space which we hope will have a similar intensity to the early parties we put on. We will be doing something for the Edinburgh Festival and then bringing up a few new acts to NSA before the year is out.

Sinchi is a non-profit multifaceted music platform. As a label, they featured artists such as Sascha Funke, Curses, Khidja, Roe Deers and Toulouse Low Trax, just to name a few over the past year. In 2020, they have a busy schedule of fantastic music coming up too (2 of which you’ll hear exclusively in this mix). 

As a DJ collective and promoter, they host regular events both in Amsterdam and beyond. Their last outing before this current crazy corona world, a takeover at Renate, Berlin. Then not to forget their curations via SoundCloud and the website via their mix series and daily premieres.
