This is the hardcore techno B-side to the very first record on my new label Somniverse. Deer in the Headlights will be out on August 26th on red 10" vinyl and digitally.

After 7 solo EPs for independent hardcore labels like Meta4, Love Hz and PRSPCT Recordings, and more recent techno releases for RAW, Ghostly International and Possession, Somniac One is seizing the deer by its antlers to launch her own label: Somniverse!

As a firmly established name in industrial hardcore and fast-rising star in techno, Somniac One is perfectly positioned to color between the lines of both genres. A desire to go beyond boundaries to claim ownership of Somniac One's vast stylistic range – and to make you dance – is at the heart of Somniverse. Expect effective hardcore bangers, techno bangers, cross-over bangers. Bangers, pretty much, and the occasional tame B-side.

Deer in the Headlights is the first release on Somniverse and features two Somniac One productions that directly relate to the kind of sets she is playing to hardcore and techno audiences – always with the idea to draw fans from one scene into the other. Arp Track #1 is a classic piece of slowly unfolding, muscular and subtly euphoric techno, while MNDKNTRL on the flipside harkens back to some of the best moments in dark millennium hardcore.

Somniac One's fourth EP for PRSPCT XTRM is a love song to hardcore of yore, featuring two nostalgic original tracks and a hellfire remix of Party In My Head anthem 'Kill Everyone' by the one and only Deathmachine.

Somniac One's intense atmospheres and sledgehammer kicks get a euphoric lick on 'The Grand Awokening', a tribute to the millennium hardcore sound this industrial warrior was raised on. 'Hard Synths '92' meanwhile takes cues from even further back down the timeline, marrying early rave stabs and sentiment with Somniac One's thoroughly modern sound design and identifiable signature.

Technically skilled and hard as nails, Deathmachine then breaks the back of Somniac One's much loved 2018 banger 'Kill Everyone', delivering a crossbreed mutant remix that's gonna slay dance floors all over again.

Somniac One is a Lithuanian techno and industrial hardcore producer, DJ, and label owner.

Somniac One's sound is intense, atmosphere-driven and technically precise. Her signature kicks, combined with distinct and innovative sound design have made her one of the most respected contemporary artists in underground electronic music.

Somniac One started producing music at the age of 13. She has released on labels such as Perc Trax, PRSPCT, RAW, Ghostly International, Love Hz, Meta4 and on her own label, Somniverse.

Established firmly in both the techno and industrial hardcore scene, Somniac One is perfectly positioned to blur the lines between genres. A cross-pollinating approach to DJing has seen Somniac One perform at major events like Dominator, Soenda, Bang Face, Dream Nation, Astropolis, Defqon.1, as well as renowned underground clubs across Europe, including Tresor and RSO in Berlin, De School in Amsterdam, Kompass in Belgium, Fold in London and Boiler Room.
