Vor vier Jahren schrieb ich mit „The Last Beluga Whale“ einen für mich sehr wichtigen Song, mit dem ich aufrütteln wollte. Seitdem ist das Engagement für Umwelt, für unsere Zukunft allgemein leider spürbar eingebrochen. Auch wenn es in der medialen Wahrnehmung in den Hintergrund getreten ist: Die Lebensräume vieler Arten sind mehr denn je bedroht. Populationen schrumpfen gewaltig. Höchste Zeit zu handeln. Deswegen wiederhole ich heute noch einmal meinen Appell: Mache mit und setze dem Klimawandel und Artensterben Dein Engagement entgegen. Nehme nicht so einfach hin, dass wir das Leben vieler Geschöpfe unserem Gott des Wachstums opfern. Wir können etwas verändern, wir müssen etwas ändern. Mir liegt etwas daran, dass die sogenannte „letzte Generation“ nicht die „letzte Generation“ wird. Und Dir und Euch geht es nicht anders. Davon bin ich überzeugt. – Alles Liebe, Gert Holle. Four years ago, I wrote “The Last Beluga Whale,” a song that was very important to me and with which I wanted to shake people up. Since then, commitment to the environment and to our future in general has unfortunately declined noticeably. Even though it has faded into the background in media coverage, the habitats of many species are more threatened than ever. Populations are shrinking dramatically. It is high time to act. That is why I am repeating my appeal today: join in and counter climate change and species extinction with your commitment. Don't just accept that we are sacrificing the lives of many creatures to our god of growth. We can make a difference, we must make a difference. It is important to me that the so-called “last generation” does not become the “last generation.” And I am convinced that you feel the same way. – All the best, Gert Holle. The last falcon in the sky
circles across the desert land.
We take care of ourselves,
ignoring the changes in the world.
That’s what we learned,
growth is our God in daily life.

plows through the plastic-strewn sea.
We do not want to see:
We are living beyond the means.
That’s what we learned,
growth is our God in daily life.
