This is our adaptation of the classic Cuban revolutionary tune Guantanamera, which has a truly amazing history as a folk song used to communicate resistance information via the radio during and after the revolution. In the second and third choruses we replace "Guantanamera" with "Andale Compas" (Let's GO, COMRADES). Following the third verse we've also taken to inserting protest chants in Spanish and English, reminding ourselves and audiences that this is a song meant to serve as a tool in the pursuit of liberation.
