Five piece doom metal band, catchy vocals and tasty riffs, the drums are somewhat sub-par but what're you gonna do?
 

Marthasville seem to come from roots which are pre-psychedelic.  The years 1964-67 were very fruitful in pop history mixing everything from blues, soul, folk, jazz and rock n roll and taking it on to new ground.  This is a place worth going back to and re-discovering. 

The four musicians - Kevin, Brian, Ally and Joe - share common tastes which seem to reflect these times.  At times the singer and guitarist would like blues, folk and rock while the rhythm section had a taste for jazz and soul.  So it is with Marthasville and maybe just a hint of those times comes through in these songs.  We hope like us you enjoy The Beatles, Stones, Who, Kinks, Them, Pretty Things, Troggs,  Bob Dylan, Stax, Motown, Atlantic artists and all the plethora of music from that era.

We are a 5-piece indie/rock band from central Scotland, playing original, melodic indie/rock songs (plus a few covers, just for fun).  We hope you like our music.
