Not enough can be said about one of Canada's most creative intelligent Electro producers of recent times. Lofish standing for Lo Fi Ish equipment, allways using the bare minimum to maximize his creative potential. Lowfish is the pioneer of this sound long before the train jumpers saw it coming, a sonic hybrid of Electro, New Wave and even some subtle house influences. Along with his personal work is the Label owned and operated by both Lowfish and Solvent , Suction Records. These two artist represent the underground Electro scene in proper style by producing and running their own indy label with vinyl release's. Hats off to the boysz from Canada. 
This is Lowfish at his best, adrenaline fueled electro/wave/disco creating that special Lowfish hybrid electro sound.

Dark Intelligent Electro: Certain record labels have stretches where they can do no wrong, and right now Satamile is going through one of those Halcyon periods. When it comes to Electro, if the name Satamile is one the labe, the record is guaranteed to be good. the labels latest offspring, Lowfish's "Burn the Lights Out", is no exception. Lowfish aka Gregor de Rocher, kicks off his fifth album sounding like a dark side kraftwerk with "999", a track full of industrial strength bass and a robotic voice that repeats "999", from there , it would be easy to pummel the listener into submission with more brutal electro, but Lowfish smartly blends aggressive dance grooves with more cerebral fare, resulting in an album with just as much appeal for the clubs as i has for mre listiening.  At times , like on "Krak" and especially on "8_oP", Lowfish takes electro to its darkest depths, and delivers planet crushing bass beneath the robot rhythms. At other time Lowfish pushes the analog snyths to their limits to create melodic synthpop, instrumentals like "Pristine White".  The albums title track brings these two instrumentals like "pristine White'. The albums title track brings there two styles together on a cut thats dark, deep and melodic. Punishing or melodic  Lowfish uses a lo-fi production aesthetic to show that great dance music can still be made today with yesterdays technology. Review by: Daniel Slaten

B.1 "8_0p" by Lowfish

This one's made entirely on an Octatrack, with synth sounds and loops sampled from a Yamaha Reface CS and drum loops built on a Volca Sample, then reworked in the Octatrack.

This one's likely to end up on my EP, Lullabies For The Vintage Generation.

Octatrack - Catching Lily

I just installed the Make Noise Mysteron into my Modular. The photo is a picture of the patch that I used to make the tune. First sound in the song is the Mysteron. I am controlling the pitch 1 and the top excite input with the CV and Gate of the Stepper Acid, Excite 2 is being controlled by the kick trigger on the grids. Pitch 2 is coming from a quantized S&H CV from Octocontroller. Depth is connected to the smooth output of the wogglebug. The stepped out on the Wogglebug is plugged into the type input. Pitch knob is fully CCW. Other knobs are being changed throughout the song.
