The Sound Agency was an acknowledged world leader in business sound. Its mission was to help our clients unleash the beneficial power of designed sound… to enhance their brands, increase sales, optimise customer experience and satisfaction, and improve employee experience and productivity as well. This was not only about music, which is just one form of sound; we identified eight expressions of every brand in sound.

I am a Professor of Acoustic Engineering at the University of Salford where I carry out research and teaching focussing on architectural acoustics, signal processing and audio perception. I am also an author and radio broadcaster having presented many documentaries on BBC radio and written books for academics and the general public.
