In the beginning there was rhythm, in the end there will be chaos and in between those paths will cross and out come the wolves. Sonic Death Rays is the sum of aging parts that, ripe like a perfect orange, dish out a unhealthy dose of punk rock. Its members are schooled in the perfection of noise and melody through such bands as classic cult punks Kommissarie Roy and the grinding pop of The Sinners. Add a pinch of anxiety-ridden post punk stemming from Stry & Stripparna, the numb austerity of Cut City and the golden roar of We Live In Trenches  and you have what’s dubbed Sonic Death Rays. 

There’s nothing new under the sun here yet it’s still hot as shit. Taking cues from, but not sounding alike, Canadian masterminds Fucked Up, the frenzy staccatoed Mission of Burma and the primal urges of Iggy & The Stooges and The Ramones, Sonic Death Rays is a napalm bomb detonating from your speakers.
