this mix is the third of eight that have been used in a clinical setting by SABI Mind for over three years now. it has also been used by close friends and myself, many times over too ..over and over, as it was carefully designed for repeat use. to entrain to. to reach for as a reliable tool. for the purposes of meditation, clearing, unwinding, calming, relaxing, deepening, inner explorations & journeys, grounding, centering, focusing, resting, drifting, quieting, sleeping, transforming, transporting, healing and other related purposes.

it stands on it's own as a contemporary ambient mix and also fully functions in the sound wellness realms. it keeps the promise of holding space for the listener the entire time, without any blips or trips or artful overly expressive side-quests, just slowly and reliably modulating and evolving and unfolding.

'NEW 2022' is anchored & grounded in the current "now" and what is fresh 🌿 and what is next (from what current potentials exist). this comes with reference and acknowledgement of the history and stories that led to the present, and also looking to the future - conjuring good intentions and good direction setting (pathways & plans) from where the current placement is. many thanks and acknowledgements to the absolutely perfectly executed music made by all the artist's in the mix - a decent handful of them being local as well.

Known for her cutting-edge approach to techno, gabber, breakcore, IDM, noise and industrial music, E-Saggila (@e-saggila) is an Iraq-born producer and DJ based in Toronto. Her crystalline, high-speed soundscapes construct a deep sense of spatial awareness, with pulsating basslines crashing into mind-bending melodies, interwoven with diverse and dazzling percussion patterns, reminiscent of watching a dark sci-fi epic in a futuristic world.

"My World My Way," released in 2019 on Northern Electronics, perfectly embodies her bold experimental sound, immersing listeners in the subtle contrasts between rapid rhythms and distorted textures, where everything seems poised to collapse at any moment. In 2021, she released work in PAN's renowned white label club-focused Split series where the jarring explosions evoke the sound of bones shattering. Other artists in this series, such as Tzusing, M.E.S.H., Toxe, and Crystalmess, each represent extremely unique voices in their own right.

Untouched is the first single from Aquamarine, the upcoming debut album by @Souns-3 , an ambient project by the well recognized Vancouver-based producer and dj Michael Red | @michaelred. With Souns, Red explores themes that are reflective of the natural world, the unseen world, outer space, and transcendence. Performances are largely intuitive and improvised, sometimes guided. The audio is an immersive world of deep sonic output, lucid introspection, and seemingly endless layers of sound. Typically there are no "drums" in Souns material, though there might be a detectable pulse. As heard on the first album track “Untouched," Aquamarine leaves an unmistakable mark on the listener, reverberating in the mind long after listening. The new album is out December 8th on Subtempo Records.

Almost the entire ‘lights’ album combined with half of the ‘scenarios for the real self’ album - all re-edited and refined and re-mastered, in some cases to such a degree that a lot of it sounds like brand new work. the title “(re)” is partially short for “(revisted)”.
