Here's a mix of a few of the first tracks I played in 2023 not long after the countdown, closing out the night at our sold out Last Resort NYE party, as well as a few others I didn't get a chance to play, with a dose of unreleased originals and bootlegs that I'm currently testing out. 
After a wild year/years and a mad few days of setup I'll remember this set as a cathartic quick fire ride through some absolutely pumping NSFW Ghetto, Techno, Experimental and Jungle. Although it wasn't recorded on the night, hopefully this mix captures some of that essence.

Artist Bio: 
Minor Circuit is the alias created by Iain Yes as a musical production outlet for heavier, faster and tougher sounds, inspired by the music being played in underground clubs, basements and festival dance floors around the world, from Experimental, Techno, Acid, Ghetto, Footwork, Jungle and everywhere in between. 

Having played around 1000 gigs under various aliases around the world for over 20 years (115 in 2022 alone) as well as having promoted and danced at countless others, Iain knows good music when he hears it. 

Now he is translating as much energy as possible into studio time, with multiple tracks released in the last year ( Roller Blaster Records : UK /  Nein Records : Berlin /  Sonik-Ino : Australia) and a pile of exciting new music in the works.

Bel and Sua, aka Ninja, are selectors from Buenos Aires, Argentina,
currently living in Australia. They are eclectic curators who share a

If Bitter Babe was a perfume, her scent would be animalic—heavy musk, bergamot, worn leather and burnt spices. The Bogotá-born, Miami-bred and now Berlin-based artist has a heady, ultra-rhythmic sound that feels made for sweltering summer nights and feral fantasies. Combining pan-Latin styles with hard drum and industrial touches, she's crafted a singular mood that defines her DJing and production: hazy, high-energy and sensual.

Bitter Babe's ascent on the international circuit has been tied to her role in Miami's electronic renaissance. Whether it's proto-reggaeton, dense ambient or guaracha, her sets and productions are characterised by evocative low-end, darting synths and distorted frequencies that exude drama. With releases on TraTraTrax, Air Texture and SVBKVLT, she's cemented her position as an experimentalist, leaving the door open for more deconstruction and abstraction.

As cofounder of multidisciplinary project LATITUDES, Bitter Babe seeks to unify Latin America's electronic music communities. Her mixes are a great source for discovering under-the-radar acts from Peru, Brazil and beyond, some of whom are featured on her RA podcast. Starting with subby downtempo before moving onto swampy baile funk, technoid mutations of dembow and cheeky UKG, it showcases her expertise for trippy yet deeply kinetic grooves.

Byron Bay’s April Kerry is the definition of Rave Queen. A slave to Techno, April has taken her devilish grip upon the Australian festival scene and is creating big waves in the deepest and darkest corners of the underground. She holds a mind for dark & stormy sounds, specializing in Techno & Melodic, but also has a diverse taste for anything that makes you move. She has been known to nail it whether it’s afternoon at golden hour, a pumping festival set, or a dark underground warehouse. It’s been big few years for April to say the least. Some highlights include; playing Splendour In The Grass, Falls Festival, Rabbits Eat Lettuce Festival, Mushroom Valley Festival, Elements Festival and Earth Frequency Festival. She also finished her four-month Dark & Stormy Tour, playing 35 shows up and down the east coast, including major gigs in cities, such as, Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, headlining a number of shows. She has had the opportunity to grace the decks at some of Australia's most iconic venues like Revolver Upstairs, 161 Melbourne, Locura, and Elsewhere. This striving young talent is thoroughly enjoying sharing her sound all over Australia. It’s not just a set to April, yet, an overwhelming representation of how music makes us feel, connects us, and brings us immeasurable joy.
