The Revelation 12 Sign of September 23, 2017: A Prophetic Warning of the Rapture and the End-Time Birth

On September 23, 2017, a rare celestial alignment occurred, widely recognized as a fulfillment of the Revelation 12 sign:

“A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth.”

The sun was over Virgo (the woman),

The moon under her feet,

Twelve stars above her head (Leo + Mercury, Mars, and Venus),

Jupiter, representing the kingly child, exited Virgo’s “womb” after 9 months.

This alignment mirrored John’s prophetic vision and occurred on Feast of Trumpets, a festival associated with awakening, judgment, and resurrection. It was not the rapture itself, but a heavenly warning—announcing that the Church Age was nearing its close and the final events of the end times were set in motion.

Who Is the Woman, the Manchild, and the Dragon?
The woman represents Israel, the covenant nation that gave birth to:

Jesus Christ, the Messiah.

The manchild, symbolizing His Body—the Church, who is to rule with Him.

“She gave birth to a son, a male child, who ‘will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.’ And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne.”
— Revelation 12:5

While this speaks first of Jesus’ ascension, it also has a dual fulfillment—the rapture of the Church. The Greek word “harpazo” (caught up) is the same used in 1 Thessalonians 4:17, clearly connecting the manchild’s catching up with the pretribulation rapture.

The Manchild: The Bride of Christ
The manchild is not just Jesus—it also represents the overcoming Church, His Bride, born from Israel’s spiritual legacy (Isaiah 66:7–8). Just as Eve came from Adam’s side, the Church is born from Christ, and she is raptured—caught up before the dragon (Satan) can devour her.

The Dragon: Satan’s Multi-Dimensional Plan

Satan, the dragon, works from the second heaven (Ephesians 2:2), executing his agenda on earth through global movements. The New Age world order, climate religion, occultism, and transhumanism are his tools to deceive and dominate. His plan to destroy the manchild—God’s people—is thwarted when God snatches them away.

Conclusion: The Rapture and the Rise of the Beast Are Near
The Revelation 12 sign was God’s billboard in the sky declaring that the final chapter has begun. The woman (Israel), the manchild (Jesus and His Bride), and the dragon (Satan and globalism) are central to understanding this prophecy.

The catching up of the manchild is the pretribulation rapture—God’s rescue of the Bride before the tribulation wrath begins.
