Sortir un premier album est toujours un exercice périlleux, à la hauteur de l'enjeu qu'il représente : transcrire des années d'écriture
en quelques 45 minutes. A la veille de la parution de Rewind to the end, Aberdenners se voit dérouler le tapis rouge en figurant
parmi les artistes « qui vont modeler l'année musicale 2015 » dans le très beau livre « L'année du rock français » de Laurent
Charliot » en librairie depuis le 6 novembre.
Pourtant, ils auraient bien signé pour être nés de l’autre côté de l’Atlantique ou de la Manche, Aberdeen par exemple, ville
écossaise jumelée avec Clermont-Ferrand. Aberdeeners est donc né sur des envies d’ailleurs mais aussi sur la certitude que, quitte
à vivre dans une ville provinciale française, on n’est pas si mal dans la capitale auvergnate.
Des guitares folks, parfois électriques, des harmonies vocales au millimètre, les membres d’Aberdeeners ont trouvé dans leur
rencontre la recette d’un retour aux origines de la musique pop. Mais là où beaucoup se seraient contentés d’orchestrations
dépouillées, ils convoquent tour à tour, contrebasse, ukulélé, piano, batteries, rythmes arty et section cuivre pour emmener leurs
chansons évoquant les Kinks et autres Beatles vers des contrées moins empruntées : on pense à Fanfarlo, Local Natives, ou
encore The Walkmen.
Sur scène, la formule est également à géométrie variable, l’intimité du trio se brisant souvent pour faire place à des invités
inattendus. Car Aberdeeners aime à cultiver les paradoxes, passant des présélections des Inouïs du Printemps de Bourges 2015
ou de premières parties d'illustres artistes comme Jacco Gardner, Pillars and Tongues, Vandaveer ou encore Archimède à l'intimité
d'un 20 mêtres carrés à l'occasion du festival Nördik Impact 2013 (Nördik appart).

Tropical Zombie are six of the best-of-friends whose mission in life is to make you shake it. Alain, Rob, Matt, Adam, Ben and Jonny of the Sydney/Byron Bay sextet have been chums since adolescence, spending their youth in associated, but separate, Central Coast bands. In 2012 two of these projects merged on stage for a “one off” gig that was the painless birth of TZ, and have encouraged the world’s toes to tap ever since. 
The multi-instrumental genre benders are renowned for their high-energy live shows that guarantee to get even the most planted wall flowers out of their pots and onto the D-floor. 
TZ are inspired by their travels, slogging out a multi-date, hard-shuffling tour of Europe in the back half of last year and a beautifully wasted youth and young adulthood spent on the world’s beaches and in its cheapest bars. 2014 saw TZ tour their EP extensively with a 20 date European tour, a string of headline shows and performances at a bunch of festivals including Mountain Sounds, Gumball Festival, Sydney Blues Festival, Lost Paradise, Splendour In The Grass (acoustic) and Festival Of The Sun. This year has also been busy with a comprehensive East Coast headline tour and the release of their latest single ‘Waterslides’, which has been a huge online success with over 600,000 streams worldwide.
TZ are now back in the boogie kitchen, churning out new indie rock, Latin groove infused washed-out floor fillers for their debut album, which is due to hit your ear pockets towards the end of this year. 
They’re a hoot of a whale of a time and you’re just going to dig it. You will see Tropical Zombie this year, and if they don’t get you shaking it then you should hand in your legs.


The Milestones were birthed by longtime friends Alex Wandres and CJ Metz in a dingy Baltimore warehouse, where guitars would roar well into the night. As they emerged from that seedy void of a practice space, often as the sun was getting ready to rise, some kind of rugged, raucous, and righteous rock n roll came out with them.

Now joined by drummer Devin Ritts and Owen Fuste on bass, the band has refined the rawness of their initial sound and sculpted it into their own brand of infectious indie dance rock, rife with carefully crafted hooks over expansive guitar soundscapes. If you're able to catch them live and witness the charisma that these 4 musicians share while they let loose on stage, you will understand they never lost the explosive energy of those original late night jam sessions - that storm just keeps rollin' on.

The band recently released their first full-length album, recorded in Nashville at the legendary Blackbird Studios. Keep an ear to the ground for The Milestones - they are sure to let out a rumble or two that you won't want to miss!

Award-winning singer-songwriter, publisher, and music supervisor Jody Aaron  (Friedman) has paved his own road to success in music. He began playing guitar and writing songs in 1994 in his home in Safety Harbor, Florida. Later he and his band performed in venues in and around Georgia, New York, and California. Some of the highlights include The Tabernacle in Atlanta, The Knitting Factory in NYC, and B B King’s in Universal City.

By day the talented and dedicated artist works as a music publisher and music supervisor, having supervised several feature films.  Jody publishes a catalog of 20,000 + songs and regularly licenses music to networks, studios, ad agencies, and trailer houses.

Jody's released a couple of EP's including "Rivers (2013)" recorded with Grammy winning Multi-Platinum producer Scott Mathews (Beach Boys, Zac Brown, and Johnny Cash) & "Memory Box (2015)" recorded with Kenny Lamb (Ashley Monroe, Justin Timberlake).  His artistry is reminiscent of early Paul McCartney, Cat Stevens, Dave Matthews, and Nick Drake.

Jody's been honored with several awards for his songwriting, including winning first place at CNN International Talent Competition, which was televised on various CNN programs. 

His music has been heard on ABC, AMC, Animal Planet, NBC, Showtime, MTV, and Nickelodeon, to name a few.

"As a writer with others, I try to bring a sense of calmness and steadfast to the room, along with some lyrical ideas/topics & interesting melodies.  If I had to choose, I'd say melody is my strong suit in a co-write.  Because of the nature of my job as a music publisher & supervisor, I'm able to adapt to different writing styles from Pop to Rock to Country to Trailer Music.

Currently Jody is based in Orange County, California and travels to Nashville, TN annually to co-write with other accomplished songwriters. Some of his co-writers include Michele Vice-Maslin (Nick Carter, Ke$ha), Jason Mathews (Billy Currington, Trace Adkins, Luke Bryan), Phil Barton (Lee Brice), Steve Pasch (Lenny Kravitz), Elisha Hoffman (Faith Hill, “Country Strong” soundtrack), Rebecca Lynn Howard (Martina McBride), Steve Suliikowski and Joey Clement (Selena Gomez), and many other writers.
