Sunexplosions label head Cary Crank opens a portal with Inner Atlas—a transportive cut where organic percussion, shimmering pads and sky‑bound harmonies guide listeners into other worlds. True to his signature, the original leans into analog warmth and a strong sense of narrative flow, shaped by years spent in the Frankfurt scene that nurtured his sound. The release is completed by two distinctive remixes: Kyotto, the Sri Lankan artist known for his melodic storytelling and underground sound, and CAMILA (AR), a rising talent from Argentina whose hypnotic progressive style is gaining international attention. 3 QUESTIONS to PETE OAK:

Q: Talking about your mix: how did these tracks have an impact on your career?

A: All of these tracks have had a big influence on me music-wise. In some way or another these tracks kinda describe different periods in my life with music. I mean this mixtape is only 1 hour and if I had to make a mixtape that included ALL the songs that have meant something to me, that mixtape would be lasting for weeks.

Q: From Aalborg/Denmark to the world. Did you ever think about to move to bigger "scene citys" such as Berlin or Barcelona?

A: I actually lived in Barcelona for 6 months. That made it easier for me when I had to fly out for gigs. Sometimes it is a bit difficult for promotors to book me as flights aren’t always the easiest to manage from Aalborg. But I love my city and we have a great House/Techno community here. Maybe some day I will go discover the world, but I’m actually really satisfied with my small hometown.

Q: Which Pete Oak and Blindfold Recordings projects are coming soon?	
		
A: I have some projects coming up on Stil Vor Talent and Blindfold Recordings. But right now I’m working on something completely different project that isn’t house music. Hopefully I will get some more time to get my house-vibes going again over the summer.

3 QUESTIONS to GROJ:

Q: Talking about your roots. A lot of german Synthi-Pop/New Wave tracks are inside your mix. How did you get in touch with this kind of music and how would you describe your roots?

A: Thanks for having me on this project, great concept and I loved to work on it. These are big names in my family - Kosmische Musik was always around the house and readily inculcated to anyone flipping through album covers in the living room. But children rarely like the music their parents listen to and why would these names stand out from all of the musical action of the 70-80 and 90s? My attachment is conceptual. I think German Rock had it's own mission and a different vision than what was happening at the time elsewhere. It isn’t too pushy or too snob and still very elegant and refined. The music is grounded in a feeling of home and belonging, of being back at the castle. At the same time it is very transporting, rhythmic subtleties and repetition is central to it. I learnt a lot about making techno from these guys and I’m sure I’m not the only one.

Q: You´re from Grenoble, living now in Montreal/Canada (is that right?). How would you describe your development in electronic music between Europe and North America?

A: That is correct. I go back and forth a lot. I love Montreal and where I come from in France. I think both continents feed off each other. While there has always been some strong artistic rivalries and misunderstandings in the past, I think both schools hold a lot of admiration for one another. Being in Montreal is great because there is a flow from both sides and you don’t need to pick a side. I think this comes through in my music as well - I try to be free-spirited, raw and open to serendipity like a North-American, and at the same time I see the value in not pissing on everything that has been done before, in preserving heritage and order like a good European artist. So the course of my development as an artist in a sense is also to unite and re-concile these two worlds.

Q: Which future Groj projects are on the way?

A: At the moment I’m working on an album, which is something I haven’t done for several years now. It is both a great and terrifying feeling. There will soon be a single release on microCastle which is a club cover I made of Transmission by Joy Division. A new EP on fryhide is coming soon as well.

Harry Ken's years of experience behind the turntables can be seen at all times in his driving sets, which always work hard on the bass. At the tender age of 15, he started to close 1210s in his heart and his first resident gig shouldn't be long in coming either. Still falling into hip-hop at the age of 17, Ulm always quickly realizes that the hard bass and driving melody are his musical home and so he is sure to seduce the crowd with his own sets. It is difficult to classify his sentences musically in one of the many drawers of his own - but all have one thing: "ATTACKE!" Whether in small basement clubs or on the big boards, the world sells, Harry who play with the crowd, close his eyes to seductive dreaming or open his mouth wide and make the crowd go crazy. "Hands up Harry" always remains true to itself in its musical diversity and in the perfection of letting the different varieties of your own range become apparent in your sentences and thus also allowing your limbs to glide across in collective body twitching. Guaranteed.
