Dreamy atmospheres, futuristic zithers and insane drops: here comes Solstice Vibes V, Art Vibes' annual summer compilation.
 
We are extremely happy to have in our hands the annual compilation made by the Art Vibes collective to celebrate the heat and freshness of Summer. It is time to make way for pleasant emotions, reunions between friends and a shared desire to continue inhabiting our planet, making it a better and more enjoyable place. Between fruity sounds, ethereal sound atmospheres and avant-garde beats, Solstice Vibes is once again one of the most anticipated releases of the Summer.
 
'Diwali' by Amour Propre begins the story of Solstice Vibes V. Through the voices and percussion, it keeps us delicately within its oriental soundscape. Zithers and oriental flutes were perfectly arranged to make 'Diwali' a must-listen.
 
MI.LA, originally from Moscow, contributes to the compilation with 'Leto', a tropical, dreamy and truly immersive track. Thanks to the ambient atmospheres and its vocals, it is reminiscent of dancehall and reggaeton.
 
This release wouldn't be complete without a track from 9DEEP and Veytik! This time, they are joined by multi-instrumentalist Stephane Salerno. 'Celeste' oscillates between muted guitars and magical lines of synthesizers. It's a track that can seamlessly soundtrack summer party nights and sunset walks.
 
'Play a Part' from Armenian producer Teom drags us quickly until we find ourselves contemplating a surreal sunset in the desert. Without a doubt, the vocals along with the electronic sequences are the perfect engine to get us there comfortably.
 
Gobi Desert Collective and Copal join the label with their track 'Ambedo', a darker release that maintains the fresh personality of the Art Vibes collective. Through its wind instruments, it invites one to visit other cultures and heritages.
 
Scabeni's 'Swank and Hatter' seduces the listener with the metallic textures present throughout the piece. A futuristic mixture between jazz and eastern notations achieves a spacey feeling to play with from dawn to dusk.
 
'Pavamana' by Ben and Vincent, is a walk through the jungle with colorful sounds of rattles, cosmic flutes and currents of hot air. An enveloping voice guides the listener, suggesting gently where to venture next.
 
'Ethera' by Sasson is a piece that invites us to reflect on life without leaving the dance-floor. It features delightful moments of calmness yet showcases resolutely uplifting parts. With its magical sounds it keeps one's mind completely focused at all times.
 
Serbian producer Tebra, returns to the label with 'Suza', a sonic masterpiece majestically switching between keyboards and strings. The producer creates a surreal party ecosystem, with one foot on the ground and the other one up in the milky way.
 
Daniel Navrotsky from Ukraine joins Art Vibes with 'Glare'. He proposes an interesting mix between minimalistic house and organic electronic music, achieving a resolutely futuristic track.
 
With dancefloors in mind Pandhora and Tim Kari created 'Farewell', a track that stands out for its energy and refined sound synthesis. A long emotional break precedes an intense, progressive and grandiose drop. A melodic and detailed piece to get lost into.
 
Closing the compilation, French producers Souvnear and Minorah deliver 'Elisse' an euphoric melodic techno tune, revolving around bubblegum-sounding synthesizers and neon soundscapes.
 
Now it's your turn to listen to this wonderful sound experience and start traveling from wherever you are. Turn the volume (reasonably) up and enjoy!

From Tradition to Innovation. Honoring the Past and Shaping the Future. Bridging the classic and the contemporary in electronic music, which renews itself with each passing day. This is how one might describe the journey and career of Curitiba-born DJ and producer Fernando Guimarães, better known as NeoClassic.

By day, in a suit and tie, he serves as a councilman and president of the Paraná State Audit Court; in his spare time and at night, he becomes a true alchemist and active force in electronic music—whether producing in his home studio or commanding dancefloors with his signature transcendental sound. Age or stereotypes mean nothing to NeoClassic, who, at 67 years old, remains as curious, adventurous, and creative as ever.

NeoClassic views life and music as a mystical journey of self-discovery and freedom. This philosophy is reflected in his hobbies—motorcycling, aquascaping, diving, and photography—and especially in his musical identity, which delves into the sonorities of organic, progressive, and Afro house, as well as deep house, melodic house, and melodic techno.

His primary mission as NeoClassic in the electronic music universe is to explore musical richness and diversity, investigate distinct rhythms and genres, and introduce to the contemporary electronic music scene the influences that have shaped—and continue to inspire—the project. Neo commits himself far beyond mere sound experimentation, crafting a unique musical experience where every beat, timbre, and note intertwines to create an intense and innovative journey.

As a DJ, NeoClassic has stamped his presence at major clubs and events in Brazil’s electronic circuit, including Warung Beach Club, Terraza Music Park, Club Vibe, Danghai Club, Teatro Mars, and Cave Club. He also marked his third consecutive appearance at the 2024 New Year’s Eve celebration of Universo Paralello, one of the country’s most renowned electronic music festivals. He has shared the booth and delivered sets alongside artists like Giorgia Angiulli, Township Rebellion, Shai T, Facundo Mohrr, D-Nox, Massano, Binaryh, and Zac.

As a producer, he boasts significant releases on labels such as Cactune Records and Warung Records. In 2024, he dropped his first two original EPs: Call Of The Deep via Mistica Sounds and Inner Storm, which not only marked his debut EP but also the inaugural release of his own label, Cura Records, officially launched in November 2024.

Alongside fellow Curitiba DJ and producer Masaaki, Neo embarked on this new venture with Cura Records, a label that distinguishes itself by championing creative freedom and artistic originality. It serves as an inclusive, innovative platform for the creation and distribution of electronic music, rooted in introspection, emotion, and sonic depth. The label explores a rich palette of styles—Afro House, Progressive House, Organic House, Melodic House, and Techno—with the aim of forging emotional connections with audiences, transcending mere entertainment.

The label’s foundation stems from a journey that prioritizes unique artistic identity and creative autonomy. In other words, Cura Records seeks to promote self-awareness and healing through music.

Beyond his work as a DJ, producer, and label manager, NeoClassic is an active member of the DJ/producer academies Fluxo and Warung School, sharing his knowledge, experience, and story with new students seeking to find their own path in music—much like he continues to do daily.

The name and purpose of NeoClassic emerged from merging classical and modern influences, akin to the neoclassical movement. True to its inspiration, NeoClassic breaks paradigms, redefines preestablished rules, and reshapes existing norms. In his mystical journey through music, NeoClassic dives in headfirst—always.

Nach einer etwas längeren Pause in unserer Podcastreihe begrüßen wir heute Xia Ke aus Shanghai. Der sympathische Producer, DJ und Labelbetreiber mit dem Hang zu organischen Klängen im deepen Downtempogewand ist uns bereits vor einiger Zeit aufgefallen. Seine Mixe bestechen durch eine große Dichte an Atmosphäre, welche durch überwiegend cineastische Übergänge erzeugt wird. Quasi ein Sound der auch gut zu unserer Reihe passt. Ein wenig angepasst hat er diesen aber trotzdem. aber hört selber und findet den Unterschied. 

Tausend Dand Xia für diese feine Reise ins Dickicht der organischen Afterhour.

After a slightly longer break in our podcast series, we welcome Xia Ke from Shanghai today. We noticed this likeable producer, DJ, and label owner with a penchant for organic sounds in deep downtempo guise some time ago. His mixes captivate with their dense atmosphere, which is created predominantly by cinematic transitions. It's a sound that fits well with our series. He has adapted it a little, though. But listen for yourself and see if you can spot the difference.

Post Punk/Noise Rock/Alternative Rock/Shoegaze ➡️ Ambient Techno ➡️ Melodic & MInimal Techno/Melodic & Organic House ➡️ Downtempo

✘ What makes good "afterhour"?
Chill, moody, slightly danceable and meditateable. 

✘ Do you have any thoughts you would like to share about your set?
It's a set prepared for our upcoming label tour. I want to illustrate a more moody downtempo soundscape to the Chinese local audiences. There are also some great productions from my label Autumn Equinox.

Born in Chile but now Buenos Aires-based, Paula shot into the electronic music spotlight in 2016 with her vocal work on Jos & Eli’s ‘Walking On Water’. Released through long-standing German imprint Einmusika, it set the course for what has been a remarkable two-year stretch. 

Paula has since gone on to collaborate with some of progressive music’s most esteemed talents in Antrim and Kamilo Sanclemente. 2017 saw Sound Avenue label boss Madloch introduce Paula’s sublime vocals into his well-received Magician On Duty single ‘Deserts & Snow’. A friendship and mutual respect developed between the two artists, eventually leading to the present with Paula’s first and much-anticipated solo single coming courtesy of Sound Avenue, alongside remixes from Powel and Adam Nathan. Franco Armellini es un Dj y productor de Progressive house y Melódic Techno nacido en Rosario, Argentina. 
   Allá por el 2014, comenzó a incursionar en la música electrónica y rápidamente descubrió que estaba delante de su mayor sueño. Poder transmitir desde una cabina, y nada menos que mediante música, esa energía particular que sólo este género musical le había provocado con tanta intensidad.
   En 2016 dejó su ciudad natal para instalarse en Pekin, China, donde vivió por un tiempo para aprender esa cultura e idioma pero también fue desarrollando sus habilidades como Dj, con fechas no oficiales en algún que otro pub o evento de aquella ciudad. 
   Desde ese entonces, y luego de otro prolongado tiempo en Barcelona, España, regresó a Rosario, donde dedicó la mayor parte de su tiempo a producir música y generar un nombre como dj en dicha localidad.
    Gracias a algunas presentaciones con grandes figuras de la música electrónica a nivel mundial como Nick Warren y Henry Saiz, y otras grandes figuras nacionales como Soundexile y Brigado Crew, entre otros, es que Franco, pudo hacerse un lugar en la escena local. 
    Por otro lado, su primer bootleg terminado, recibió support de grandes figuras internacionales como Nick Warren.
    En la actualidad, Franco se identifica principalmente con sonidos innovadores, hipnóticos y progresivos que hoy promueven los sellos de artistas como Sasha y Eelke Kleijn, entre otros.
