For the 9th edition of our Hotcast🔥series we invited @naitwa from Leipzig. 
She is part of @g-edit, a flinta*-collective touching different fields of electronic sounds from bass music to house and  in between with a focus on feminist approaches and struggles. Naitwa also started her own collective called @nice4what and is a member of Petrola crew from Leipzig. Furthermore she's involved in the regular event series DRIVE at Institut fuer Zukunft. In her mixes she plays a broad variety of house music – from tech, prog, 90s to early 2000s and nu skool breaky stuff to dub and detroit inspired sounds. On 16. July 2022 I had the great pleasure to play at bürro in Mainz, alongside Shadi Zaitoun and Super Venus. Now, as we all know, recording sets can be a tricky thing. This time it finally worked out. Listen to some 2,5 hours of many different styles, just how I like it.

The 3rd mix of our little series comes directly from the dancefloor (recorded in the club, but not during a party) and goes straight into your hearts! ;)

DJ Balduin is familiar with making dancefloors move for over twenty years. As an avid believer that some songs shine only under the right circumstances he doesn’t shy away from weaving repetitive loops with patterns of ambience just to let some hands-up moments unfold every now and then. Since he doesn’t like to think in categories, his best guess to describe his vivid 4/4 sets would be “Hypno celestial salsa-dub house“.
In Leipzig, where he is living and working, he publishes music across all genres on his label GLYK. And as the Powerambient dreamteam Feuerbach (with yet unseen) he explores his musical boundaries even more.
DJ Balduin has upcoming releases on KANN, Dawn State and Inch By Inch and put out music on labels like Kompakt, QC Records and his own imprint GLYK.

Sevensol is a splendid producer, DJ and label boss. Kann, the label of which he co-founded alongside Bender, has become one of the best and most significant in a new wave of record labels championing House music in Europe. A figurehead of the Leipzig underground music scene Sevensol cut his teeth at record stores across the city, working behind the counters and gathering a wealth of knowledge which would go on to inform and inspire his own taste and perspective as a DJ.

His music is often deep, pensive and driven by emotions. This is perhaps best noted on his own productions, upon which he works with Bender to craft stripped back, textural music which tugs at the heartstrings as much as it moves the feet.

As a DJ Sevensol’s style is innovative and unique, seeking to take dancers on a journey through multiple genres and styles, all with ethereal undertones. Sevensol is also one half of the DJ duo Manamana alongside Map.ache.

We invited him to record this mixtape a little while back and now that it’s shown up it doesn’t disappoint.
