Dublin house duo Obskür make their Defected debut with returning artist and vocalist SHELLS. Raised on a diet of Defected classics, the boys honed their craft in lockdown and reaped the rewards after, having already worked with leading industry names Eats Everything, Pete Tong and Gorgon City. Their previous release ‘Daydreaming’ saw UK radio support from Danny Howard, Sam Divine and TCTS thanks to its pure house sound that showed a respect for where the genre came from. The duo have rightfully earned their debut Defected release ‘Rebel’, enlisting the help of SHELLS; no stranger to a Defected hit, the UK talent sang on ‘Nightjar’ with top producers Vintage Culture & Sonny Fedora in 2022, gaining major play worldwide and setting the benchmark for what modern house should be. SHELL’s dark and hypnotic vocals permeate ‘Rebel’ as Obskür show off their sleek, synth-led production skills accented by hard hitting percussive elements.

Now, that journey hits a pivotal point. Bringing together core members of the label's journey over the past decade, the 100th release is a powerful statement of where the label stands in 2025 - forward-thinking, dancefloor-driven, and relentlessly tuned into the sound of now and tomorrow. A defining moment for the imprint, the release gathers the extended Solid Grooves family for a no-holds-barred package that captures the essence of the brand's sound, ethos, and evolution. The ten-track compilation features fresh music from both co-founders, who each return to the label for the first time since 2023, alongside long-time Groovers Dennis Cruz, Bassel Darwish, Reelow and Ramin Rezaie - artists who've been integral since the earliest releases. It also champions and celebrates the key residents and the ever-emerging new wave of talent shaping the label's future, with standout contributions from KinAhau, Ben Sterling, Blackchild, and Silvie Loto. Closely tied to and landing just ahead of the collective's Ibiza summer residency at DC10, this release is more than a collection of tracks; it's a celebration of a sound, a scene, and a crew that has grown stronger with every passing year.
