Dana Borić is a sound artist, composer, and improviser based in Zürich, Switzerland. Her practice aims to question and rethink the way we gather and the way we listen, through compositional thought, as well as through social and political research.
On Sonospheres Performance Day, Dana presented a two channel sound installation playing a piece she composed using the Serge Carnivore modular synthesizer, upon which she then improvised with her Cello using recording tape and the bow to play the instrument’s strings.

For their first collaborative project, Hanil Jeong and Charlie Waridel performed an audiovisual live set. Charlie’s live generated images, charged with the political question surrounding live coding that’s central in her artistic practice, are visual in essence. Hanil uses Ableton as a framework to develop self-generating algorithms, setting rules to guide the creation of sound. Their performance wanders between uncontrolled randomness and subtle structure, exploring the tension between chance, imagery and music generated by non-human systems.

Charlie Waridel is an artist passionate about new technologies and the political issues surrounding them. With a background in photography, she pays particular attention to her compositions and enjoys working with overlays. Live coding has a strong political aspect that she has been questioning.
Hanil Jeong is a multidisciplinary artist with a background in game design. He’s fascinated by gaming technologies as a medium to explore creative possibilities across different domains.

Johannes Lucian Reck is a transdisciplinary artist with a diverse background in engineering, design, art, and sound. His work spans a broad spectrum of outputs, including installations, visual media, sound compositions, and immersive experiences.
He is driven by a desire to merge these fields into cohesive emotional environments, often exploring the complexities of human perception. Central to his practice is an inquiry into how the perceived contrasts with objective reality, and how individuals interpret sensory stimuli in diverse ways. His work is a means of expressing personal interpretations of the present moment and human experience.
Currently, he teaches in the Interaction Design Department and works as a research associate in the Game Design program at Zurich University of the Arts.

Stefan Kraft works as a research assistant in the field of game design. After beginning a degree in philosophy at the University of Zurich, he completed his bachelor's degree in game design at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) in 2021.
In his practice and research, Stefan Kraft takes a multidisciplinary approach to topics such as perception, digitality, and interaction. His projects include games, installations, animations, and web projects.

Pauline Oliveros’s concept of the Sonosphere refers to the sonic or sonorous envelope of the Earth, encompassing all vibrations, natural or technological, that travel through the planet and beyond. It’s not just about sound as humans perceive it, but also encompasses a wider range of energies and vibrations, including electromagnetic and geomagnetic fields. Oliveros’s Sonosphere also incorporates the idea of a „listening body,“ where the human organism is seen as a receiver and resonator of these vibrations, both consciously and unconsciously.
