Second State recording artist Wigbert steps up for the 277th edition of Global Vibe Radio

An artist’s journey is one of constant reinvention and the one thing consistent is constant change. The story of German Producer | DJ – Wigbert is one of evolution and growth, creating a bold fusion of his influences and an innovative imagination.

Our siblings are often our greatest influences growing up and in Wigbert’s instance; it was his older brother that led him to the Underground.

Over the years, Wigbert went on to find his own style amongst the many genres and still thirsted for more. DJing wasn’t enough for him now and he had to express the music he heard inside so he decided to start producing in the early 2000s, which brought him seemingly immediate success.

Over the last decade, Wigbert has finely tuned his craft and his techno sound has become sought after and supported by huge names in the industry. Because of his perpetual support from Dubfire and Pan-Pot, and Wigbert’s affiliation with Sci+Tec and Pan-Pot, he has been able to remix for Pan-Pot, Gregor Tresher and the requests keep coming in.

What makes Wigbert special?

The music Wigbert creates has both equal parts of analogue machines and human input. In a sense, he while producing, Wigbert becomes a ‘human machine’ by becoming one with his technological tools at hand. His drive to create organic sound flows though the final products. These are energetic, explorative, authentic and fresh as Wigbert encapsulates all elements of pure, true sound.

Rather than have a structured production process while in the studio, Wigbert allows his human experiences and imagination roam free with the machines he uses. He opens himself up to what the machines communicate in return and then channels it, just so. “Music is a infinite journey, mysterious and never ending.” he says. His time is spent exploring new auditory avenues in his sonic haven.

From here, we can expect to continue to see and hear from Wigbert long into the future. For those looking for unique, emotional, musical deliveries with pristine quality, Wigbert delivers every time.

Following the success of the duo’s ‘Forte’ album earlier this year, Pan-Pot’s highly esteemed Second State label is thrilled to announce the release of the 13th edition of the ‘SUM’ various artist compilation. As a celebration of Techno music, this compilation showcases the genre’s finest, promising to leave a lasting impression on enthusiasts worldwide.

The tracklist, curated with precision, features a diverse range of artists, each contributing unique sounds that encapsulate the soul of techno music. The compilation initiates with the pulsating energy of “Warehouse Impulse” by Audio State, setting a high-octane tone from the outset. Ben Champell’s “Give Me That” follows, with its raw and powerful sound captivating listeners. The hypnotic journey continues with “Basic Instinct” by Bruce Zalcer, showcasing intricate melodies and driving rhythm. Chris Hirose & RNDTXTR collaborate on “Sits,” a track that fuses deep basslines with harsh percussion and pulsating synth stabs to create a mesmerising atmosphere.

The middle of the compilation is marked by the spell-casting sounds of “Keep Dancing” by Katnada, followed by “You Will Not Colonize” by Kmyle, which exemplifies the genre’s rebellious spirit. Ramon Tapia’s “DSP Engine” and Wigbert’s “Delayed” conclude the compilation emphatically with a duo of tracks that champion the true versatility of Techno as one of the world’s most celebrated musical concepts.

Each track on ‘SUM’ Vol. 13 highlights the distinctiveness of the artist’s sound while maintaining a cohesive flow. There are every time again different „Things“, that influence the emotions and the life of one person. And that’s exactly what Wigbert wants to express with his new single „Things“. The focus of Things is the acid similar Moogbassline surrounded by percussive and drum-like elements, which produce a special groove. Slowly and full of energy one increase after the other devolopes during the track, until it reaches its peak after the break.
Souvenir and Freebase Records Artist Chris Wood took the original track and created a nice Tech House Remix quite to his style. With a mixture of Techno and Tech House, Old School and New School the topic „Things“ is brought expertly to the point and you can find it to the peaktime on the dancefloor for sure!
