Married couple Wesley & Melissa Stein migrated to the mountains of Southwest Colorado after years of roaming the country from Tennessee to Texas in the early days of their career.  Melissa's start came as a background vocalist for the Christian band 'By The Tree' while Wesley doubled as their opening act and sound engineer.  A decade later, the pair unite their disparate influences in what is a metaphor of many layers.  First, is their conversion to a more Zen-based view of faith which led them out of the Christian music scene and into exploration of sounds that came from the soul, regardless of faith.  It seems to pit their early influences against their recent ones.  Next, is the sound.  An earthy, woodsy acoustic progression that seems always at war with synths and electric guitars is led by the eerie harmonies and soft vocals.  But don't let the soft and chewy inside fool you.  There is a real outer shell of rock and e-pop here that is sure to keep you singing along all day.
