a decidedly gothic start to this piece and although the theme is consistent, there are developments which may be construed as unorthodox.....
think Ryuchi Sakomoto's "Sheltering Sky". 
the harmonies provide a hint of something unearthly or maybe from the crypt? 
the efx include local rooks and a very ancient bell located in Veauche, France.

Romanesque

This is a track Daniel White and I have been working on since November which thematically describes the death and burial of Christ based on the Gospel of Luke. The material we covered in this track include the following:
 
-Laboring on the cross
-Interacting with the two theives on either side of Him
-The darkness over the land
-The tearing of the veil
-- Concluding Daniel's portion - approx. 3:45 --
-The last moments of Christ on the cross
-Yielding up of His Spirit
-The Centurion's Enlightenment (feat. Allyson Horner)
-Joseph securing Christ's body (feat. Noah Woelfel)
-The Prepping of His Body
-The Sealing of His tomb

This track will be apart of an upcoming Easter album called "Resurrection" put together by the Rhapsodize Music Network.

We’ve got time...
The sounds of ticking clocks and watches have always been associated with suspense, drama and edge-of-the-seat movie moments. In typical Sonokinetic fashion we couldn’t let this cinematic trend pass us by without jumping in with both feet and sampling an exhaustive collection of pocket watches, wristwatches and small clocks. The extremely quiet sounds that these mechanisms produce had us using all the tricks in our recording book to capture clean and precise samples without extraneous noise. After much experimentation we think that we’ve managed to capture intimately nuanced watch sounds without sacrificing any of the character of these unique timepieces.
Of course, we couldn’t resist presenting these samples in a fun and functional interface. It has a special steampunk twist with multiple cogs and gears that can be clicked to access deeper parameters of the performance. Within the GUI it’s easy to combine sounds, add effects and trigger exactly the rhythmic patterns that you want to play.
