An expert at creating harmonious illusions of sound, Germany’s Powel always finds a way to thread together natural elegance and tasteful patience in music. Having learned the piano at a young age and subsequently performed regularly with bands and even an orchestra, Powel's palette of music has a vast and thorough foundation that is influenced by the people and places he comes across during his visits.  His unique touch as a musician is heard by how he captures warm, celestial vibes filled with airy atmospheres together with delicate rhythms and tells a melancholic story fused with ghostly, low slung cuts that are rich with nuance and subtlety.  Powel steadily explores this duality in sounds not only throughout his discography but in his performances around the world which included his inaugural debut on the ROBOT HEART bus in 2016. 

Powel continues to amaze his fans around the world including residencies with the All Day I Dream family run by dreamer evangelist Lee Burridge, Behrouz's intimate home in Miami, Do Not Sit On The Furniture, and one of the finest institutions in New York City, Bespoke Musik. On the production front, eager ears will be treated to forthcoming EP on the newly minted 'Dawn Till Dusk' imprint on September 6th, 2019.

Amsterdam, one of electronic music’s most bustling hubs has plenty of gems, iconic and hidden – special cafes, an infamous, world-renowned red light district, a vibrant art scene and handful of underground clubs with some of the techno world’s most celebrated sound systems. And immersed within it and one of its best-kept secrets, is South Netherlands-born, Belgium-raised and Amsterdam based Nicky Elisabeth, who after joining Cologne’s Kompakt label, earning a residency at @demarktkantine and winning Bumble’s first ‘Making Moves in Music’ title, can’t keep out of the spotlight for too long. After a busy end to 2019 and the announcement of her joining DGTL’s 2020 roster, and shortly before a few highly anticipated gigs with techno heavyweights such as Stephan Bodzin and Kolsch, Nicky catches her breath, and takes a moment to chat with Torture the Artist and casts an hour of carefully selected and beautifully sown tracks – a glimpse of pure, passion driven talent that has already made a mark in a local scene, but has only just began.

After his live performance for the Riotvan label at Annalinde last week Leipzig's in-demand artist Panthera Krause continues the musical hotness with his contribution to the art:cast series. Therefore Robert, Panthera Krause's real name, delivers 52 minutes of disco-ish, groovey and housey music skilfully compiled and mixed as if the Leipzig creative were heavily influenced by the feel-good vibes the apparently starting summer holds for one. Art:cast #88 contains melodical catchy moments combined with saxy vocals and musically flows like an easy highway ride on a Sunday. Panthera Krause's contribution to the art:cast series resembles the artist's current musical output, high-quality still diverse in the selection of who he remixed, and Panthera Krause did quite a few remixes over the past months, namely he reworked Coma's Spiracles, Johannes Albert's 1-800-Piano, Kasper Bjørke's Venetian Binds, Benjamin Fröhlich's Memory FM or Mr Tea's Working With Animals, additionally he released his album It's A Business Doing Please With You on his co-run label Riotvan.
