We are all back together as most of us are heading to Arlington for Big 12 Media Days where Brent Venables and Dillon Gabriel will take center stage. We go over what we are most looking forward to hearing from coaches and players in Arlington. Brent Venables won't be able to talk about it, but he just had a massive recruiting haul and appears to be headed for more very soon. Josh breaks down the latest in recruiting and what to expect going forward. We also introduce you to the newest member of our SoonerScoop team and let you know if you guys handled those Longhorns in our shrimp battle.

A recent article in The Guardian parroted a US state-funded group's evidence-free allegations that The Grayzone’s Aaron Maté -- who has reported extensively on the OPCW’s Syria cover-up scandal -- is "the most prolific spreader of disinformation" about Syria among a "network" of "conspiracy theorists."

Aaron called Guardian reporter Mark Townsend on the phone to ask him to substantiate these defamatory claims, and why he didn’t reach out before printing them.

Matthew Hoh (https://twitter.com/MatthewPHoh) is a disabled Marine combat veteran for peace who is running as a Green Party candidate for the US Senate to represent the people of North Carolina. The North Carolina Democrats have refused to certify the Green Party Ballot access petition required to run. Matthew Hoh is a senior fellow with the Center for International Policy. He is a 100% disabled Marine combat veteran and, in 2009, he resigned his position with the State Department in Afghanistan in protest of the escalation of the war. He is a candidate with the Green Party to represent North Carolina in the US Senate in 2022.


John P. Ruehl is an Australian-American journalist living in Washington D.C.  He writes for The Independent Media Institute, is a contributing editor to Strategic Policy, runs the Geopolitics General Channel on Roundtable Media, and his book "Budget Superpower" will be available later this year.

At UN, Bolivia presents revolutionary 14-point socialist program to transform world

The right-wing loves yelling, “We’re a republic, not a democracy!” Now they have a Supreme Court that agrees with them. The Court is about to hear Moore v. Harper, a gerrymandering case that will also take up the Electors Clause of the Constitution. The Republican legal argument, made famous by Trump’s 2020 legal team, is that state legislatures can send their own choice of electors to the Electoral College, rather than abiding by the vote of the people. The implications of this are huge — the end of ‘one person, one vote.’

Brian is joined by Steven Donziger, an advocate, writer and public speaker on human rights and corporate accountability. His most recent piece is The most terrifying case of all is about to be heard by the US Supreme Court. He also filed a class-action lawsuit with others against Chevron for environmental damage – including dumping 17 million gallons of crude oil in the Ecuadorian rainforest – and won a historic $9.5 billion judgment. Chevon then fled Ecuador and launched a campaign against Donziger that resulted in him being disbarred, serving 45 days behind bars, and under home confinement for 993 days.
