The Bloody Beetroots : 

Formé en 2007 par le producteur Bob Rifo et le DJ Tommy Tea, The Bloody Beetroots est signé sur le label Dim Mak de Steve Aoki.

Le duo italien qui a pour habitude d'apparaître avec des masques du personnage de comicsVenom, se fait remarquer par une série de remixes allant de Rinôçérose ou Etienne de Crécy à Naive New Beaters ou Cazals. En 2008, le premier EP Rombo et le maxi Cornelius attirent l'attention du public qui télécharge massivement ces titres electro-punk. 

Parmi leurs remixes, on peut mentionner par exemple le morceau « Maniac » de Michael Sembello ou encore « Seek and Destroy » de Metallica, devenu « Ill To Destroy ». Les Bloody Beetroots se sont cependant surtout fait connaître grâce à leurs prestations live. Leur parcours les a d’ailleurs rapprochés d’artistes tel que les Crookers.

En 2010, Bob Rifo lance la tournée Death Crew 77, une tournée mondiale pour présenter son album au sein de Bloody Beetroots à travers un show mêlant musique électronique et vrais instruments de musique. 

Les Bloody Beetroots sortent 2 EP « Spares of Romborama » en 2009 et 2010, respectivement « Warp 1977 » et « Domino ». 


Tha Trickaz : 

Présent depuis près de 10 ans sur la scène électronique, Tha Trickaz est composé de Pho de Dirtyphonics et Dj iRaize de Tha New Team. 

Leur musique illustre bien leur vaste monde, hybride et puissant, aux influences Bass music, Hip-hop ou Trap, mêlant orchestres épiques et bandes son cinématiques. Les 2 producteurs ont déjà à leur actif 2 albums, plusieurs EPs, remixes et collaborations sur des labels tels que Ninja Tunes, Cassius records, Kannibalen, Play me ou Chinese man records et avec des artistes internationaux : Cassius, Dope D.O.D, DJ Kentaro, Wax Tailor, Chinese Man, Tha Alkaholiks, Lords of the Underground…

Leur "Live" est une expérience unique : Les 2 producteurs masqués se servent de leurs machines comme de véritables instruments, mêlant beats joués sur leurs "pads", basses vrombrissantes aux synthétiseurs et samples scratchés !

Ils se sont produis dans plus de 200 concerts et festivals au cours de ces trois dernières années dont le “Quicksilver Tony Hawk Show” au Grand Palais, le festival de Dour, Garorock, Solidays et 4 tournées au Vietnam. Ils ont ainsi joué aux cotés d'artistes tels que Wu Tang Clan, Bloody Beetroots, Mr Oizo, Foreign Beggars, Gramatik, Riff Raff, Action Bronson...

En novembre 2013 leur label de téléchargement gratuit est créé : Otodayo Records. Depuis, plus de 80 EPs ont déjà vu le jour et de nombreux autres sont en chemin !


DJ Netik : 

Depuis ses premiers succès sur la scène turntablist internationale, l’univers artistique de Netik n’a cessé d’évoluer, porté en cela par ses nombreuses collaborations avec des producteurs variés et dans des styles éclectiques. 

Mêlant electro, dubstep et drum&bass dans des sets colorés et très dansants, Netik confirme à chacune de ses prestations qu’il a bien su, comme il le revendique lui-même, mettre sa technique au service de la musique.

Cette technique, qui lui a permis de décrocher 3 titres de champion du monde DMC, il l’incorpore sans pli dans ses mix. Entre scratchs percutants et autres passe-passe millimétrés, sa sélection se retrouve dans un véritable melting pot où il est parfois difficile de distinguer les tracks d’origine.

Par son jeu de scène et cette technique inimitable, il réussit à séduire à la fois les puristes, les techniciens et autres passionés de scratchs… mais aussi des publics moins spécialisés. Il incarne ainsi parfaitement toutes les formes du DJ’ing moderne, ce qui lui ouvre tous les horizons. Véritable incendiaire des dancefloors et virtuose dans sa discipline, DJ Netik est assurément l’un des tous meilleurs DJ du moment.

Twinztrack

Twinztrack est un duo de beatmaker originaire de Rennes. Les deux producteurs ont été influencés dès leur plus jeune âge par les productions de Timbaland, Swiz Beatz en passant par Bangladesh et Dj Premier. Récemment ils ont notamment été mis en lumière par leurs productions pour Set & Match et A2H. Ils sont à l'origine de sons principalement axés instrumental Hip Hop mais n'hésitent pas à les mélanger à des sonorités électoniques. 

Reid Hope King 

Mélange calculé de hip-hop, grime et de Bass music dans sa plus pure tradition, Reid Hope King tise les fonctions d’un nouveau style, à mi-chemin entre le trap et le moombahton. Syncopés de sonorités vintage, les break sont shuntés et le sub puissant jusqu’à l’étouffement, physique et organique. Texas instrument de l’électro, Reid Hope King s’inscrit dans la lignée des Bro Safari ou Zeds Dead, mais aussi de son compatriote Son of Kick qu’il rejoint dans la maîtrise d’un rythme tendu au traitement du son épuré, baignant dans une atmosphère acide et caverneuse. Jamais en panne d'inspiration lorsqu'il nage dans son univers de la Bass Music, Reid Hope King propose des mix live en constante évolution aussi bruts que méticuleux. 

Soopa Highration

Soopa Highration est un DJ «Crossover» aux influences multiples. Inconditionnel de la musique depuis son plus jeune âge, il s’est construit un univers musical propre. Il distille avec brio une bass music tintée d'influence reggae avec pour seul objectif de faire exploser le dancefloor.

Depuis une dizaine d'année, il partage cette énergie à travers de nombreux lives, mixtapes, émissions de radio. C'est tout naturellement qu'il se tourne aujourd'hui vers la production et prévoit un tout premier EP pour la fin d'année 2015. Cette production sera également l'occasion de mettre en place un tout nouveau show live!

Leading lights in the 21st century UK digi dub/roots scene Dubkasm have built themselves a worldwide following for their brand of reggae since launching their own Sufferah's Choice label in 2003. What many fans may not realise is that even before that first Sufferah's Choice release, Dubkasm had nearly a decade's worth of recordings behind them. Unfortunately, other than a track on the 1996 “Dub Out West Volume Two” compilation album, those early recordings were the preserve of leading UK sound systems such as Aba Shanti and Jah Shaka and could only be heard played off dub plates at dances.
       
Dubkasm have finally decided that the time is right to share the story of those early years and make a selection of those formerly exclusive tracks available for everyone to enjoy. Being proud of their Bristolian roots, Dubkasm found the perfect partner for the project in Bristol Archive Records and the label's ongoing programme to document and make available Bristol's reggae heritage.  As if a selection of previously unreleased tracks from Dubkasm wasn't enough, these particular tracks were all played by leading sound system operator Aba Shanti and the versions were all personally mixed by him to achieve the ideal sound balance on his sound system. Once Dubkasm's Digistep had finished initial mixes of the tracks, he would deliver the multi track master to Aba Shanti who would then mix down his own exclusive versions.

It's the Aba Shanti connection that inspired the album's title, for it was at Aba's legendary sessions at the Brixton Rec that these tracks could be heard to full effect. The album is named in tribute to those great sessions and hopefully the music captures a bit of that magic as well as bringing back some great memories for those who were there, or even those who were only there in spirit through the medium of sound tapes. 

Thanks to DJ Stryda's long standing Sufferah's Choice radio show Dubkasm are in contact with many of the scene's leading players and four of the vinyl's eight tracks are vocals with contributions from Tena Stelin, “The Soul” and “Spiritual Warrior Time”, the deeply missed Lidj Xylon, “The Order” and Bristol's own, and Dubkasm regular Ras Addis, “Jah Bible.” Each of the vocals is accompanied by its dub counterpart and each track is UK roots of the highest order.

The CD and download version contain three bonus tracks, a melodica cut to “The Soul”, “106.2FM” a track that captures the vibes as Aba Shanti both mixes and sings live and finally “Earth Rocker” which is actually a recording captured in a dance at Brixton Rec; about as authentic as we could get even if the audio quality leaves a little to be desired. Bristol Archive Records take the story of reggae in the city forward into the 1990s with this essential and previously unreleased selection. complete with sleeve notes, telling the story of Dubkasm's early years including rare archive photos, “Brixton Rec” is Released on Limited Edition Vinyl, CD and digital download October 8th

Soopa Highration est un DJ «Crossover» aux influences multiples, il mêle avec brio Reggae, Steppa, Jungle ou encore Dubstep. 

Inconditionnel de la musique depuis son plus jeune âge, il s’est construit un univers musical propre. Sa soif de nouveauté ravira les plus pointu d’entre vous.

C’est en 2009 que l’univers de Soopa est partagé au public. La première mixtape «I need holidays...» vois le jour, suivi peu après de «The ultimate woman & reggae mixtape».
Aujourd’hui 6 mixtapes sont disponibles en téléchargement libre. La dernière «Winter wicked mixtape» a dépassé tout les records de téléchargement!

L’année 2010 à été celle des premières soirées, le partage avec le public toujours heureux d’écouter les sets novateurs et créatifs. 

Début 2011, il créa la chaine Soopa TV, permettant de partager encore plus avec le public. Une émission hebdomadaire, plus quelques «Events» (comme le «Tribute pour Bob Marley» en hommage au King pour les 30 ans de sa mort). Ces émissions sont un vrai laboratoire, lui permettant de tester ses nouveaux mixs, les nouvelles productions et recevoir l’avis des auditeurs en direct.
