Soopa Shoutout #11 [FREE DOWNLOAD]

The world was a wondrous place. Technology had unlocked the skies; beings from far off planets had become new friends. The dream of utopia beckoned as humanity lifted itself towards transcendence.

Till one day, from within, they appeared. Ravenous, disfigured monsters, mad with an unquenchable lust for flesh, rampaging through villages and cities, consuming and infecting all they met with an incurable plague: the Kannibalen virus. As this tide of death spread uncontrollably, the rich fled to the stars and the visitors quarantined the planet, leaving the rest to fend for themselves. Some hid in far off wastelands, others locked themselves in walled cities, salvaging what they could to preserve what was left of civilization. Amidst the chaos, some sought profit and power: opportunists, war mongers, pirates twisted by evil; whispers spread of half-breads and mutants twisting their strings from the shadows. But hope still lived. Bands of survivors, fighting to preserve humanity and restore the world to what it was.

This is the story of one of these groups.

Soopa Shoutout #12 [FREE DOWNLOAD]

It may be positively freezing outside, but the Run Tingz Cru are here to smash away those winter blues with this, the sixth release on their trailblazing eponymous label.

In 2012, tingz are set only to get even bigger for the Bristol-based collective, as this latest 12” boldly attests in typically upbeat style. Enlisting Jamaican-born regular contributor Blackout J.A alongside the UK’s own David Boomah, this is another slice of gold from the Run Tingz camp, without a shoddy acapella or ripped vocal sample in sight!

The release features five (yes five) mixes of the tune with international Jungle legends R.Cola, HOT and Tester on the remix duties! The vinyl also features a slightly more dubbed out amen remix from the labels very own G.Tactix and J.Man so there is something here to keep everyone happy!

The release will be available on 12" vinyl and digital formats from January / February 2012. Soopa Highration est un DJ «Crossover» aux influences multiples, il mêle avec brio Reggae, Steppa, Jungle ou encore Dubstep. 

Inconditionnel de la musique depuis son plus jeune âge, il s’est construit un univers musical propre. Sa soif de nouveauté ravira les plus pointu d’entre vous.

C’est en 2009 que l’univers de Soopa est partagé au public. La première mixtape «I need holidays...» vois le jour, suivi peu après de «The ultimate woman & reggae mixtape».
Aujourd’hui 6 mixtapes sont disponibles en téléchargement libre. La dernière «Winter wicked mixtape» a dépassé tout les records de téléchargement!

L’année 2010 à été celle des premières soirées, le partage avec le public toujours heureux d’écouter les sets novateurs et créatifs. 

Début 2011, il créa la chaine Soopa TV, permettant de partager encore plus avec le public. Une émission hebdomadaire, plus quelques «Events» (comme le «Tribute pour Bob Marley» en hommage au King pour les 30 ans de sa mort). Ces émissions sont un vrai laboratoire, lui permettant de tester ses nouveaux mixs, les nouvelles productions et recevoir l’avis des auditeurs en direct.

Cette année 2011 sera l’occasion de la sortie de deux nouvelles mixtapes... Plus d’info bientôt!
