After its outstanding reception following its initial release back in January, Wankelmut & Emma Louise's infectious single - 'My Head Is A Jungle' returns with a souped up package and is set to be released worldwide on 15TH September via Positiva. Heavily supported by BBC R1's Pete Tong, 'My Head Is A Jungle' was dubbed his 'Essential New Tune' back in February as well as receiving championing support from BBC R1's tastemaker Annie Mac. It comes as no surprise that the single is already platinum in Italy, top 30 in Germany (and rising) and top 5 airplay in South Africa!

Wankelmut who has mainly been deejaying in underground clubs in Berlin such as Sisyphos and MIKZ, became 'Newcomer of the Year' last year (GROOVE Magazine) and has been in high demand as both DJ and Remixer ever since. Wankelmut has a very entertaining and well crafted way of deejaying with a huge variety of styles from Deep House to Techno. Beside playing all over Europe he remixed Gossip, Jay Haze, Lukas Graham and various other underground records which established his status within the Techno House Scene. On his 24th birthday in December 2011 Wankelmut aka Jacob Dilßner uploaded his unofficial remix for Asaf Avidan's "Reckoning Song' to Soundcloud. More than one year later the now official remix has sold 1.3 Million copies on Sony/Columbia, scored over 100 Million Youtube Plays and entered the #1 spot in 8 european countries, as well as being the best-selling track on Beatport last year.

In cooperation with the talented Australian singer Emma-Louise, the duo deliver a finely tuned piece of melodic brilliance. Wankemut's faultless Tech-house production, and Emma-Louise's blissful vocals will have you instantly hooked and will be circling around your head for days to come. In addition to the supreme remix package from Gui Boratto, Kasper Bjorke and Solee, new remixes come from Friend Within, and Marc 'MK' Kinchen, who steps up to deliver one of his much loved MK edits which premiered last Friday on Pete Tong. 

Over the summer months you can catch Wankelmut playing at Urban Art Forms, Big Festival, Melt!, plus back to back gigs across Europe.

Hamburg duo Hauke Freer and Matthias Relling aka Session Victim return to Delusions of Grandeur with their second long player, 'See You When You Get There'.

Right from the start it's clear Session Victim's way with a groove hasn't diminished in the two years since their debut album, 2012's 'The Haunted House of House'. ‘Do It Now’ and ‘Hey Stranger’ open the record with the duo's trademark blend of subtle sampling, gloriously swinging beats and the same off-kilter sensibility that consistently raises them above their modern disco peers.

The new album marks a conscious progression in Freer & Relling's approach, evolving the sample-based production style that's won them plenty of fans since their emergence in 2008. Whereas their debut album was recorded in the duo's bedrooms, the new LP instead sees them embracing a full studio set-up, split between their own Hamburg-based studio and the fully-kitted out Room G studio in San Francisco.

Despite being situated in one of the USA's most beautiful locations, the duo found little time for anything outside the work at hand. Time not spent in the studio saw them raiding the two-dollar bins of Amoeba Music for interesting records to sample. "Having access to a fully-equipped studio was like hitting the jackpot. It was a bit intimidating too - we thought 'if we cannot write the LP here, it’s not in us'. A few days later we already forgot about this and were immersed in jamming and exploring," says Hauke. "We had access to all sorts of 80s drum machines, synths and fender rhodes of course that added another layer to the whole thing."

The resulting LP is as expected one that suits a variety of moods within SV's idosyncratic range - from the dancefloor thrills of the piano-led Never Forget, the classic disco percussion & filtered guitar licks of Stick Together and the heads down groove of The Most Beautiful Divorce Ever to the more laid back jazz tempos of Hyuwee and Crystal Maze, while the record also has a place for the more oddball moments of Under Your Spell and Eos Place. ‘See You When You Get There' finds Session Victim at their best yet, with an accomplished album that will likely emerge as one of 2014's strongest in its field.

Eats Everything makes his much-anticipated Edible label debut with the ‘Girl Powder’ EP, his first release since January of this year, and the first to land on his own imprint.  Comprising two new tracks, ‘Rita’s E’ and ‘Veronica Electronica’, the release will drop at the end of October on 10” vinyl and digital download.

2016 has already been a huge ride for the Bristolian DJ & producer extraordinaire; along with huge club cuts ‘The Duster’ (featuring Green Velvet) and ‘Big Discs’, remixes for Disclosure and Green Velvet (taking the classic ‘Flash’ track to dizzying new heights), Eats mixed the 86th edition of Fabric’s fabled compilation series back in February.

And as the Edible label edges towards its first anniversary, a slew of highly well received releases from the likes of Rhythm Masters, Jesse Perez, Lauren Lane, Lord Leopard and Brett Johnson, have established the imprint as a consistent force for quality house music.

With its infectious bassline, dubbed out keys and vocal call to arms, ‘Rita’s E’ find Eats on top form, carving out an energetic and funky club cut, whilst ‘Veronica Electronica’ gets deep, down and twisted with its duetting vocal delivery, hard hitting drums and rave-esque sirens.

Beginning in early 2015, Flicker Vertigo is the brain child of Nathan Nicholson, recorded in the sleepy beachside town of Rosebud, Victoria two hours south of Melbourne. With an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of 60s psych rock, and an obsessive passion for idiosyncratic songwriting and dreamy, warped sounds, it's as much inspired by psychedelic guitar heroics as it is by the ocean and nature.

With the strong musical mind of an expert DJ, a lifetime of club adventures and a string of accomplished EPs, Jubilee delivers her debut album, “After Hours”. It’s a record full of meticulously programmed sub­bass, 808 and 909 prowess and masterfully restrained, timeless production techniques.

It’s Friday night in South Florida, your windows are rolled down and the humid air breezes through your hair as you ride the highway to the rave. You’re piled six deep in a Honda, the subwoofer is cranked up and the radio is just about drowning your laughter. As the ride goes on, and the frequencies change, the sounds move from old school salsa to soca, dancehall to rap, Miami bass to freestyle.

You reach the club, lasers are cutting through the thick air and scented smoke machines mask sweat­stained jncos. The bass courses through you, makes you feel free, you’re living for the late night.

This is the feeling central to Jubilee’s debut full length LP for Mixpak, “After Hours.” An exploration of the New York via Florida producer’s musical history and personal journey, it’s an atmospheric ode to her home state, a confidently crafted nightlife narrative unified by weighty low end and expertly wielded drum machine workouts.

“After Hours” is 808s and spring break, it’s the sweet spot while changing the frequencies on the Florida radio dial, a homage to vibing and partying in the 305.

Now Australian producer Kane Ikin is to follow up with music influenced by science fiction, broken synthesizers and endless horizons. The Melbourne scene keeps on delivering. This time it brings a producer that will take you on a trip through outerspace. Kane Ikin is an experimental musician that will expand your mind by his creation of a six track soundscape. Equal parts narcotic and kinetic, "Sensory Memory” is built as an exploration in the genres and sounds formative  to Kane's sound. This	is what happens if	a young Patrick Cowley had met the L.I.E.S. crew.

Fresh new Bristol-based label @piff-records open their doors armed with a slew of gleaming, steaming hot wax. We got our mitts on the new To Adelaide EP featuring a compilation of fine Australian talent. Out highlight comes as "Jessica's Place", which offers nothing less than pure smouldering synth-house heaven from (fairly) newcomer @arthurmilesmusic.

Though still relatively unknown across the pond, Arthur has funnily enough already made his Boiler Room debut, as part of the Untzz 12 Inch showcase last April. With his newness on Piff, expect the distinct, dreamscape sound that fellow house producers down under have worked hard to establish (for more, see: Mall Grab and Francis Inferno Orchestra). A clean track with an ever-so-slightly futuristic sound that is sure to grab your attention — as it did with ours. Give it a spin.

"...so much of the brutality of the world is obscured by aesthetics and utopianism. Everyone knows that the world is unsatisfying, but the ubiquitous promises and images of simplicity and satisfaction and utopia just become more seductive in the face of that, like it doesn't seem to matter if we know they are not real. I feel like I have to hold these two realities together, not just deny the impulse to utopianism. Sometimes engaging in utopianism seems more like survival than indulgence. it's been a necessary way of surviving anger at queerphobia and racism, to sublimate or channel that into intellectual or aestheticised versions of itself that have some force-fed utopian quality.'

I wanted to make this record sound mostly really clean, and like a finished product, but with an internal tension that upset that, upset the desirability of that finished product. A connection between these sanitised images and what they promise, and the harshness of what underlies them and the psychological trap of those promises – the insincerity of advertising, its long term preconscious effects, some way of surviving that..."
