"Dub blew my mind the first time I heard it and that explosion is still ringing in my ears" - and to this day I have clear memories of that very day in that very room we sat, for the first time listening to "Dub Me Crazy" by Mad Professor and the seminal Augustus Pablo "King Tubby Meets Rockers Uptown". This was the first time I felt I could see inside my brain, trying to figure out what was going on, where these sounds came from, it was my first really massive sonic expansion. And Dub kept moving, its extension to absolutely all Jungle tracks ever produced, Disco's dubby mixing, the reduction of Dubstep, the frequencies and basslines of Garage, Steppers, and not to forget Berlin's own Basic Channel/Rhythm & Sound that forever created the merge of Dub & Techno. Dub has resonated with our minds forever, and the Resonance of Dub needs to be in the clubs.

And with my love for Dub I will invite people truly passionate about music with shared roots in this exceptional style. My special guest September 12th is London's Angela Zia, singing classic and unknown Reggae, Lovers Rock and beyond on top of my exclusively prepared Dubs. The second and returning guest of the night is Arthur from Duty Free Merger / Hard Wax, one of the very few DJ's in the city of Berlin who can internalize and externalize the classic & unique dubbed out cuts without disappearing in anything but the brilliance and greatness of music.

ßetamax presents LNS & DJ Sotofett and their ❝スパッターズ日本ツアー / Sputters Japan Tour 2024❞. The two Tresor resident DJ's will be playing Detroit-Techno, Electro and Real House Music on five gigs in Sapporo, Osaka and Tokyo between November 11th and December 7th 2024. The tour is accompanied by a special edition Japan Tour 12" featuring DJ Gizzard + LNS + DJ Sotofett. The 12" released on WANIA will be available on all venues throughout the tour for Yen 1500.

LNS from Calgary/Canada releases music on Tresor Records, WANIA, Counter 99 and has an upcoming double 12" project ready for UK's Emotional Response. With a classic touch of Electro, Detroit + UK Techno and Braindance she also runs the club concept ❝LNS-id❞ which will also be featured at Tengu Shokudo in Tokyo, December 6th.

DJ Sotofett from Moss/Norway runs labels Sex Tags Mania + Amfibia, and WANIA where he just released the album ❝WANIA mk1❞. About Tresor Berlin
At midnight, on March 13th 1991, a basement door opened at Leipziger Strasse 126, Berlin. Through this door, many passed, on their way to defining new terrains in electronic music. There they found a dance floor in the vaults of a closed-down department store, with a unique sound bound to dense fog, building night after night a history that was also a vision of the future.

This history has seen in Jeff Mills’ first sets on three turntables, Underground Resistance's first live appearances in Europe, grandiose Tresor Park parties, to various chapters of the Loveparade with Sven Väth in the 90s and since then countless generation-spanning parties. These moments represent the highlights of infinite personal clubbing experiences. It is the manifestation of the Berlin spirit, emerging from its considerable strife. This history is not without its complications - from temporary closure by the authorities and several raids in the early years to closure and demolition of the old location in 2005. What followed was years of wandering in exile and, finally, resurrection in the new home in Kraftwerk Berlin.

These stories, conversations and shared experiences within our walls forge a resilience that drives towards a shared ideal, the Tresor sound: community, resistance, and the world to come. This was observed in the newly re-unified German youth, who danced and celebrated together from the club’s inception, and into the present day through ongoing community work in Detroit.

To those that have danced before, and to those that will dance in the future: the light at the end of the long Tresor tunnel is a signal. A flicker amidst the fog. This is our future. This is our place.

The merged concentrate of funk and energy Techno from Detroit brought has never lost its grip on me, and early 2000 the Norwegian state radio broadcasted a live recorded set by DJ Rolando (unknown location and date) which to this date always is clearly in my mind whenever I play techno. – DJ SOTOFETT

Every year since 2010 we've been having "Graff et Grill" at Kambo Super, a super market on the north side of Moss, Norway (the first one was actually in 1999). Regular ingredients for our block party is live graffiti, BBQ, a new split 7" on Sex Tags Amfibia and records spun all day long on the homemade Kambo Super Sound System by various local and guest DJ's.

We also have the infamous afterparty, where we're trying to get a hold of local DJ's and live acts that rarely or never really perform. Last year we had the pleasure of getting the debut DJ-set by Prime Radiant – an old school real-deal-digger. Like most music heads from Kambo, Prime Radiant (for this occasion also DJ Broke Leg or Fraction Foot) was spoon fed with old-school hip-hop and is targeting the breaks from every angel. 

Last years afterparty set, performed at Norway's oldest rock club (Blinken/Kråkereiret), starts with 2,5 min of a garden in spring time, then there's new and old treasures from the past 50 years, rarities as well as heart-warming funk busters. Midway there's even two Moss club classics from the turn of the century, Marschmellows "Soulpower (Jazzanova Remix)" and Kahuun "Batteri" were regularly played on the 2001-03 club nights at Blinken ran by DJ Tompagnetsjo and a then still not called DJ Sotofett. The latter track has been re-issued a couple of times with some juicy B-sides by partner in crime DJ Fett Burger, but here it's presented by Prime Radiant in one of 2019s most enjoyable DJ-sets. – DJ SOTOFETT
