Scruffy Pearls is a NYC based band that combines classic influences from Soul, Rock, Folk, and Blues. Fronted by Carly Brooke on vocals, RJ Gatsby on keys and guitar, Billy Pearson on lead guitar and Renee Hikari on drums, the band creates and performs timeless music with a splash of theatrical edge and quirk.

Sophia started her musical journey at the age of three on the piano. She moved onto the electric bass at age 11 which led her to front numerous bands while performing her own original material. She got signed at 15 to Walt Disney Records as the bass player and background vocalist in the all girl rock band KSM. KSM was formed in a joint project between The Walt Disney Company and former chart-topping girl band The Go-Go's. KSM toured the country multiple times opening for acts such as the Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, David Archuleta and others. Sophia left KSM to attend Columbia University and hone her songwriting and composing.
