After a long wait, we are proud to present our series of vinyl & digital releases.

Release info:
SPHV001 Deep State EP is a work collaboration between Alex V (artist/label manager) and Common Mode (also known as Replika).
We will start with Alex V on the A-side, his first track called ‘Skyline’ is elegant, deep, and hypnotic with evolving sounds floating around the whole track. The second track called ‘Daintree’ has a milder and melodic approach, it´s full of layers of electronic soft sounds.
On the B-side, we will find the first track from Common Mode called ‘So Demanding’, a cool track featuring classic house beats with elegant pads and analogue sounds. The next track called ‘Wormhole’, features broken beats, electronic arpeggios and vocal samples, it has a mellow mood, perfect to finish this amazing release on 12”.
For the digital version we have included another bonus track produced also by Common Mode and called ‘All about you’, it features fat basslines and sensual vocals too. No more words…It’s all about the music. Enjoy this beautiful release!

We’re back with another episode of the Bside podcast (#163), this time with an exciting DJ, selector and broadcaster based in London: Bena

While regularly featuring on Peckham’s much loved radio station Balamii, and appearing behind the booth of some of London’s most estimes venues (Corsica Studios, Brilliant Corners, The Cause, Venue MOT), Bena has also began his own event series called Shedding Histories at Grow Hackney. The project aims at creating the most musically open dance floors in the capital, which will come as little surprise after hearing the great diversity of Bena’s record collection. 

Beginning with the dreamy sounds of Brazil, and moving through soul, funk, and jazz from across the globe, before settling into some hypnotically deep house with all the influences you’d expect from his earlier selections. From his first reggae 45 to some more recent purchases, we’re treated to a Bside journey intertwined with exceptional knowledge and passion for each track.

Bside Incoming: Bena

In our new release, we have prepared a whole compilation where we brewed a mix of house, jazz, and edits.

Inside, you'll find excellent jazz work in the studio with musicians from Discomatix (piano - Konstantin Guryanov, saxophone - Alexander, Raskhozhev, trumpet - Ivan Malov, bass - Maxim Rybakov, drums - Igor Ionov, scratching - Yuri Balanov, piano recording engineer - Dmitry Kalyabinand) and a delightful remix by Scruscru. Leiba, who put together this compilation, creates a jazz havoc from samples, while Classonix and their "Retro Hall" completely change the course of things, presenting a funky groove seasoned with synthesizer melodies. If you're already halfway through, you can also hear how Akrill rocks the bass with breakbeat percussion.The sunniest track on the compilation is "Wat U Gonna Do" by our newcomer Pasha S, which is perfect for a leisurely stroll. And we close this deal with a classic house track by Whitley Tlee that has everything you love!
