Down With the King was a concept pitched by the owner and brought to life by instructors and students in the School of Rock.  The students talked a lot about historical revolutions and were inspired to have a blend of older choral based sounds interspersed with the thriving punk rock backing track expertly crafted by former music director Andrew Wink.  The song explores themes of revolution against tyranny and inequality.

Down With The King (v1)

"Rise of the King" is an instrumental track dreamed up by Henry Ackemann (drums) and Tomas Martinez (keys/horns).  The track features guitar work by young virtuoso guitarist Shaw Sexton and percussion by instructor Clay Underwood.  

The music tells the story of a young king-to-be caught in a moment of reflection.  The young man plots his rise down in the crypts of a Castle.  Even down in this ancestral tomb the strike of the Blacksmiths Hammer on steel inundates the air, Arms are being crafted, foreshadowing strife, conflict, and the resolution by revolution.
